Kepler-129 presents: VSX005

"Beep Beep... Alert. Beeb Beeb. New planet detected, H-NRG on radar, attempting approach. Beep... Over. "

Because of its electrical appearance and high rotation speed, the planet H-NRG is in the TE1822 category of stars recorded by the VISOLUX probe. In other words, its rotation is so fast that gravity produces an energy field that causes stroboscopic and incandescent flashes.
The sound frequencies collected by the probe also tell us that pressure on the surface is so high that it causes any wall near a dB source to ooze.
Number of inhabitants? According to the probe, and after a topographic inspection of its surface, the planet H-NRG has one, the eternal guardian of this electrical empire: Jamie Leather.

VISOLUX probe collected his testimony on this part of the cosmos, and transmitted the results to the team remaining on Kepler-129.

De par son aspect électrique et sa vitesse de rotation élevée, la planète H-NRG fait partie de la catégorie TE1822 des astres recensés par la sonde VISOLUX. Autrement dit, sa rotation est si rapide que la gravité produit un champ énergétique faisant apparaitre des éclairs stroboscopiques et incandescents.
Les fréquences sonores recueillies par la sonde nous indiquent aussi que la pression à la surface est telle qu'elle fait suinter tout mur a proximité d'une source de dB.
Nombre d'habitants ? Selon la sonde, et après inspection topographique de sa surface, la planète H-NRG en possède un, gardien éternel de cet empire électrique : Jamie Leather.

La sonde VISOLUX a recueilli son témoignage sur cette partie du cosmos, et a transmis les résultats aux équipes restées sur Kepler-129.

DMX Krew has been turning out electronic music from his analog-laden studio since 1994. Having produced over a hundred EP’s and albums, he has built a discography nothing short of prolific. 
He mixes tech savvy with a firm understanding of club music and a penchant for catchy and clever hooks. The Powerplay EP forms a great display of this, and we are elated to offer it as our third release. 

On the A-side, “House Twerp” works up the sparks as a gentle bassline, bubbly synths and bright chords rub against one another. “I love Kevin” continues along the opener’s groovy tone, but with the tempo pitched up a notch, a cheerful brass lead and vintage transposed vocal samples, it full on targets the floor. It is a slab of feel-good machine funk, ideal for brightening a room that is far from having its lights turned on. “Masked Man” on the B-side is the most bare-bones club track of the collection. The twitchy lead is modulated left and right: set to a subtly crushed drum track, its tension is continuously building and falling backwards. Closer and title track “Powerplay” is a sparse and subtle slow-builder. Flanged percussion, menacing chords and a classic roving bass sequence are the central ingredients for this muggy and eerie house cut. 

ALT003 provides a diverse selection, entirely in correspondence with the artist's ability to create within a wide array - from rude electro to synth pop and a lot of the space in between. Ed DMX never really cared much about how his music is categorized, though. And rightfully so, as, even if it indeed tackles many genres, in the end it only sounds like him.

Firing up the next heat on the prolific Partisan imprint is rising Outcast Torino affiliate, Emanuele Montalto. The “Soundboy” EP sees the innovative Italian showcase a series of animated and spaced out productions containing a certain direct energy the label associates itself with. This club room approved outing from Montalto sits comfortably on the staple outfit that Partisan has become in recent years, with Anthea continuing to build her go to label for stellar underground sounds.

Pursuing their duty to bring new melodies from outer space back to our planet, Shin’uchū’s third satellite Shinsei finally lifts-off into orbit. To complete this mission, the astronaut Man/ipulate shares six various interpretations of his deeply-rooted discoveries on his mission to the outer spheres of the Milky Way.

‘Shinsei’ – meaning new birth – immerses the mind in a slow and distant mantra progressing onto an unexpected atomic explosion, kicking off the EP with a bang. Next comes ‘Do It’, a high energy upbeat bass-filled retro groove taking us back to the future, followed by ‘Sex Is Fun’, a true obscure warehouse rave essential.

On the flipside, ‘Science Function’ brings out the best flavours of house, with a hint of the unknown driven by an extra-terrestrial aura. ‘Insidynamic’ appears next, adding an electrifying collusion to the piece – a truly enchanting symphony perfectly balanced between light and dark.

Completing the release is ’22 Tensions’, a total must have closing track filled with a nostalgic twist of landing back on Earth after a memorable space-filled experience, marking the success of Shinsei’s operation in the outer spheres.
