It feels like only a moment ago that we welcomed Russian prodigy Andrey Pushkarev to the Circus Company fold with the Gingo Biloba 12”, and after that refined exercise in stripped down dancefloor aesthetics it’s gives us great pleasure to bring him back in for another three-pronged demonstration of his considerable studio talent. 

The core principles laid out in that first EP are back in abundance, with Pushkarev expanding on his love of dubbed-out dance music with a fresh batch of rhythms and pulses custom-made to ensnare the subconscious in that time-honoured tradition of meditative house and techno.

After the 3rd event season, the Swiss promoter Underground Town launches its own imprint. Strictly selected music coming exclusively from artists that have previously performed at their events.

Giorgio Maulini, originally from Caracas, Venezuela, owner and also one of the rising talents in the scene carefully selected Mihai Pol, Michael James, Funk E and one of his own productions for the first edition of the imprint.

Mihai Pol’s track (A1 - Wonderland) is a dreamy and atmospheric candy that vibes all along the 8 minutes with a very happy and mysterious combination of synths and bouncy bassline.

Ukraine’s minimal hypnotist Silat Beksi now prepares to make his signature mark with the aptly titled ‘On My Own’ Ep. This is his first solo contribution to the label, having initially christened its opening with the heady, breakbeat infused stylings of the ‘Inception’ Ep. The result of a collaborative effort alongside Heidelberg producer Durrrred. Modeight’s discography already boasts a roster of producers who are pushing boundaries in the minimal field, with Romania’s RQZ and Dragutesku, Germany’s Durrrred and ‘Methylat’ duo Virkut & Amin Ravelle’s combined output constituting a powerful sonic statement for Modeight. Silat himself continues to delve deep into his extensive musical influences, showing no signs of slowing his creative output as the talent
prepares to release more music on Welsh imprint Curtea Veche and Milan label Hashplant. This Ep see’s Silat in his element as he laces nuanced rhythms overtop of funky bassline riffs and hazy electronic artefacts, cementing himself once again as a unique and characteristically engaging artist.
