After releases by Floog, Silat Beksi, IWOU and Ruven Medici, iO (Mulen)'s dark and groovy operation-base Winder reaches its fifth chapter with a delicious VA catalogue. WINDER05 is a 2-on-2 battle between Romanians Costin Rp & Faster and Argentinians Franco Motta & Bernat. On the flip we Buenos Aires' very own Bernat who's back after an incredibly productive 2019. The entitled "Mod" features a headstrong bass with a glidy and dirty tone. The harmonic layer is varied and everchanging, with a hail of tuned percs rolling thin on top of the groove. While noisy FXs sweep the mix, some melodic shots suggest listener a new emotional sense to the whole jam, aided by long-tailed pads and bleak chords.

PREMIERE: Bernat - Mod [Winder]

For our 1st digital release in 2020, we've compiled a very special digital-only VA. This is the first of a selection of digital EPs where 100% of the profits will be donated to local charities and organisations who are having a positive impact in our community.

For this EP all profits will be donated #NextGenMovement. They are a millennial-driven organisation which focuses on empowering the youth, fighting against racism and being a voice for Nottingham's community. This is to show our continued support for equality, empowerment and the ongoing need to educate ourselves around the Black Lives Matter movement.

Most of these tracks have not been released on digital before being donated to us from vinyl releases going back to the late 90s and early 2000s. They have brought so much joy and unity to many dancefloors across the world. A massive thank you to all the artists for getting involved. Safe to say every track would still sound at home on the dancefloor today and we're incredibly grateful for all your support. We stand united.

We’ve been quiet, and much like the rest of the world, in a state of lock-down. Whilst no one is allowed to leave or enter Australia, the one thing that can travel is the Australian sound.

Our first digital release presents a line up filled with Australian-only artists featuring a variety of established and familiar faces alongside a bunch of new ones. The nature of the scene today can sometimes be restrictive for those wanting to get their tunes heard and into the ears of listeners around the world. To combat this issue, we wanted this release to also focus on giving a shot to all, who during these times, have also taken a crack at forming a sound of their own. The Australian sound has thus slowly emerged and penetrated the global scene as the Down Under VA pushes all things house, minimal, and electro to span a broad selection of electronic and club-grade tracks.

The Down Under VA is now available for purchase through Bandcamp and we couldn’t be more excited to get this released after over a year of production and planning.
