𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀 is the project of Salvatore Pizzuto from Messina, Sicily, known for his hypnotic and dark electronic sound. After his experience with SAAM, he established himself in the Italian electronic scene, crafting immersive atmospheres with deep synths, drones, and intricate textures. Blending dark elements with dancefloor energy, his powerful, experimental kicks create high emotional tension.

Nicolas Troncoso (Mr. Tron) is one of the most interesting DJs and production artists of the emergent Minimal and Techno scenes of South Florida, well known for his dynamic sets, smooth mixing and detailed production. Originally from Argentina, he has been a resident of Miami, FL since the age of 10, and has played an active role in the Miami community for the past 20 years, using various aliases before pursuing Mr. Tron. Under this alias, he has maintained different residencies in clubs around Miami such as the legendary Techno Loft in Club Space, The Electric Pickle, Treehouse Miami, and ATV Records, and has also appeared in festivals such as iii Points festival, and iii Joints festival in Miami, FL, owned and operated by David Sinopoli.

His current projects include owning and managing A&R for Alchemista Records and co-founding Zosimos, two independent vinyl and digital record labels showcasing international talent and self-releases.

The labels have included original works and remixes from artists such as Oscar Mulero, Stanislav Tolkachev, Eduardo De La Calle, Feral, Developer, Feph, Translate & Pulso, Mariano DC, Kessell, Jeremy P. Caulfield, Claudio PRC, Ness, Antonio Ruscito, Biocym, Midnight Traffic, Soren Aalberg, Laima Adelaide, Idiolect, Andrea Cossu, Terminal Sync, Isabel Soto, DJ Datch, Vanoni, Joaquin Ruiz, MAL_HOMBRE, Wrong Assessment, Altrd Being, Sinopoli, Albert Chiovenda.

His releases have found its way into labels such as The Gods Planet, Fur:ther Sessions, Space Textures, Subsist Records, CommonSense Records, Art Bei Ton, Analog Solutions and Sleep is commercial, showcasing his minimal yet detailed approach to techno.

Marc Houleʼs ʻSlowpeʼ ends the EP with a slightly slower pace, but in a disconcerting way: taking it down a few notches this one that transports the listener to the strangest dimension yet. Filtered melodies start the trackʼs ascent, sounding like a trumpet thatʼs been bent out of shape and played from the void. With dark textures compactly knit into a condensed wall of sound, a low-slung bassline trades places with eerie chords and sparse percussion.

WetYourSelf! Recordings parting shot for 2012 comes in the form of a four track EP from bone-fide techno innovator Marc Houle and is entitled ‘Zorba’ EP.

Having left Richie Hawtin’s M_Nus in 2011 to refocus energies on his, Magda and Troy Pierce’s Items & Things imprint, Marc Houle has continued to impress fans of forward thinking techno, most recently with his Undercover LP project. Houle’s involvement with WetYourSelf!’s weekly club night goes back years while his superb remix for APP’s ‘All I Can Think About’ on WYS! Recordings 2011 meant he was a must have for a future release.

From the plucked bass tones of opener ‘Zorba’ to the fluttering reed synths of closer ‘Oo oo’, Italo and Cosmic disco is the dominating force on this rare foray outside of the Items & Things camp, and the results are infectious.

The unstable, detuned bass of ‘I Uh You’ create a woozy, drunken funk that fans of Houle’s material will lap up while the uninitiated will no doubt be taken by it’s weirdo charm, a trope that bleeds through the entire EP but really unleashes in third track ‘Rainysnake’, a masterpiece in loose, machine music.

Overall, ‘Zorba’ is the sound of Houle playing with his influences and playing with his machines and the result is a resolutely ‘fun’, unique and sometimes bizarre EP.
