LNS and DJ Sotofett return to Tresor Records with The Reformer EP. This new record moves forward with a crystal clear, direct and controlled output, leaving their debut album "Sputters" as an end-mark of a sonic era. Here they evolve into a topography full of contrasts, where harsh digital artefacts, scanner sounds, and vocoder voices cast melodic colors across cold landscapes of club-ready electro. 

"Reform" plunges deep into an electro sound splintered by binary bits and submerged pads that beckon a serene melody, which echoes and loops to entangle with mutant voices, noises and buzzes. "Plexistorm" leads with synthesized strings and arpeggiated acidic bleeps until a thick bass emerges, sounding almost like a long-lost Analord record. Heavily shapeshifting with effects processing, it proves primitive movements in dubbing are the perfect counterpart to this precise electro sound. With "Electric Terraforming", the duo uncover charged energy sources required for life on another planet, as broad synth pads and memorable vocoder harmonies draw this earworm to a close. Mighty washes of dub rule on "909 The Controller" as a skipping beat invites a slow, rippling melody and percolating reverberated synths. 

The vinyl record has significantly different sonics to the digital release, and, exclusively, each side ends in a locked groove produced by DJ Sotofett.

Newly minted label Psychic Relief poses up and flexes shamelessly with its inaugural release Muscles Hug Your Bones, a brawny EP of swirling technoid psychedelia, muscular bass-weight, and unabashed sentimentality by Philadelphia-based rave rascal Furtive.

The plodding, gently propulsive drums and sliding bass of Intrepid Smiles [Golden] could easily have gotten bogged down in the oozing, crepuscular sentimentality of its soaring, romantic synths, but instead this EP wraps with a certain cinematic spark, perfect for both dancing in lockstep and weepy embraces.

Just mention 'Terrace' in a techno environment and soon someone else will shout "pioneer!" As Florence, Terrace (@terrace) and (half of) Acid Junkies, Brabant-based producer Stefan Robbers was at the flying centre of Dutch techno in the early 1990s.

Perks is Robbers' fifth EP for Delsin in a relatively short time. On the one hand, it contains his signature sound: melancholic melodies and complex drum patterns wrapped in outstanding production; on the other, Perks surprises on many fronts.

For starters, the overall vibe is a lot more sombre, the chosen route much more experimental. Take 'Model A', a dreamy, 12 minute-long meandering epic that nods to the kraut-infused electronica of Tangerine Dream and Cluster but at the same time proudly carries the techno DNA.

A fascinating return of a true pioneer.

Eddie Reynolds aka Tr One/Themisto Man is a DJ and producer based in Carlow, Ireland. A much-respected figure within Ireland’s fertile electronic music scene, Reynolds cites the likes of Dublin’s D1 Recordings, Kraftwerk and J Dilla as early influences. Equally inspired by vintage sounds from Chicago and Detroit. 

Fast-forward over close to 15 years and although the project may now consist of Reynolds only, his dedication to all things house, techno and electro remains unwavering. A prolific producer, Reynolds’ sounds have led him to some of his country’s most-renowned labels, including Lunar Disko, Apartment, Bodytonic, 393 and Pogo and his new imprint Intrinsic Rhythm. What’s more, his music has earned the respect of numerous high-profile names such as Moodymann, Laurent Garnier, Prosumer and many more and has been remixed by a stellar cast including Scott Ferguson, Sonja Moonear, Cignol, Dechord, Lerosa and John Heckle.


From a DJ perspective, Reynolds has played in all of Ireland and Dublin’s foremost nightspots including Twisted Pepper, Wigwam, Tengu, District 8 and beyond in Belfast, London, Manchester and Berlin.  A DJ with a truly eclectic vision, this is represented in the names he has played alongside. From Juan Atkins to DJ Stingray to Helena Hauff, Dave Clarke, Surgeon, Jeff Mills, DVS1,  Maurice Fulton and Steffi, Reynolds is a DJ capable of stepping up under any occasion. From a live perspective he blazed a trail in Ireland with a unique hardware based live show which was recently resurrected for 2022's Open Ear Festival and will be performing further dates in 2023.


Reynolds’ latest endeavours have brought him to release an acclaimed debut album on his new imprint Intrinsic Rhythm and prior to this releases on scene-shaping British label Don’t Be Afraid (where in 2019 he released one of his most-cherished releases to date, the magnificent ‘A Month Has Passed’ EP), as well as Lunar Disko, where he collaborated again, this time alongside compatriot R Kitt on the no-less-emphatic sounds of LDRX7 as well as the solo ChiCarlow EP. With recent releases on Mexican imprint Short Attention, Tokyo based Ashigakari and Dublin imprint First Cut these are exciting times for one of Ireland’s most consistent electronic music producers.


He also has released under new alias Themisto Man and is continuing to work and release music from his base in Carlow, Ireland and will soon ready his second vinyl release on Intrinsic Rhythm complete with a remix by Mihail P and has future plans for the label including work by John Heckle and more.
