This September saw the release of Christian Smiths third solo album Input/Output delivered on his very own imprint, Tronic. The 11 track production embodied his message of creating real techno, with powerful percussions and melodic basslines throughout.

This December as winter draws, Christian brings us a formidable remix package with reworks from Julian Jewell, Kaiserdisco, Kenny Glasgow and Victor Ruiz.

First on the line up, is Kenny, who takes Subzero into a hypnotic zone, riding deep along a slowly building melodic hook. Pulsing bass stabs go in and out, building an atmosphere before the percussive force kicks in with authority. 

Initiate Sequence is going full force with this remix by Julian Jewell, it comes straight out the gate with a pumping beat. Searing claps push the mix amid a repetition of dark vocals. Bringing a pounding floor filler to the mix. 

Kaiserdisco delivers some low end funk with their remix of 'Explanation'. Groovy yet strong, this mix brings it all together, combining catchy synth work with the dark undertones we all love to vibrate to. 

Victor brings us his rework of 'Blast Off', and brings it he does! Crispy kick and a booming low hold down the back bone of the beat like a boss, as the thundering synth rides atop.

We kickstart a new chapter with Metha, one of Hungary's most popular underground Dj and Producer who's well known for his trademark sets ranging from breakbeat to a more raw-analog sound of techno. The release features two originals and two solid remixes. Gravity and Code are straight forward tracks that are very functional on a dance floor with a steady rolling low end along with a healthy dose of old-school rave sounds intertwined with bouncy melodic hooks and stabs. We have a strong dance floor burner of a remix by Vipul Angirish who's new techno project SHFT is taking everyone by surprise and just within a span of a year he's already had releases on Traum, Patent Skillz and Black Swan Recordings along with label boss Kohra. The second remix comes from Ejaz, one of Dubai's most respected upcoming techno acts and the resident Dj at Pacha, Ibiza (Dubai). His take on the remix really pushes things up a notch as he delivers a strong, hard hitting festival style version perfect for a hypnotic peak time set.

Rob Hes has been a busy man… In the six months since the Dutch artist last flexed his tools of the trade on
SCI+TEC he’s dented discographies with slick physical grooves on KD Raw, Elevate, Tronic and My Favourite
Freaks. For good reason; he’s cooking up some high grade techno right now.
Now back on Dubfire’s imprint, it’s yet another late night crusade into the unknown. ‘Skin Deep’ sets the scene
with a soaring hook that rises and rises relentlessly, constantly mutating to create an ultimately psychedelic
effect. A classic gear-shifter; energy and intensity levels are guaranteed to raise several levels when you drop
this.
‘The Interview’ flips Rob’s sonic coin for a much creepier saga. After the smouldering, tripped-out intro, we’re hit
with a mutant acid arpeggio that stalks amid a heavily stretched humanoid texture before melting into a
breakdown of mind-melting proportions. True dark room dynamite.
Two more critical constructions from a consistently on-point man who’s fast-becoming a regular on the
SCI+TEC rollcall. Who knows how many other discographies or playlists he’ll dent before he returns again?

Tronic is one of the most established and longest-running techno labels in the world. Founded in 1994 by Christian Smith while he was attending University, the label now has over 430 releases under its belt. Christian and his team have paved the way for many artists including ANNA, Dosem, Wehbba, and more recently Drunken Kong. Tronic's main philosophy is simple: nonpurist, honest, house and techno. The label has released countless of artist albums and is regularly supported by the top players in the industry. Some outstanding releases have been Christian Smith's remixes of Carl Craig's seminal 'At Les" song, which has become one of the biggest vinyl sales releases of the past decade. Other notable releases and remixes came from Laurent Garnier, and Underworld. The weekly Tronic Radio show is being syndicated on over 120 stations worldwide and has had over 500 shows. With regards to events, Tronic has had a successful 15-week season in Ibiza at the 3000-capacity Eden super club, while also hosting arenas at established festivals, and doing over 100+ club events worldwide from Tokyo to London, Sao Paulo, and Detroit.
