<p>Ian returns to Tronic with his unmistakeable, melody-laden sound and kicks off this threefold affair with the mystical vibe of &#8220;Black Widow&#8221;. Beefy riffs take center stage and intricate synth programming elevates things to manic proportions while a chugging rhythm section combines with snappy bass to keep the groove going. On &#8220;Millennia&#8221; we are offered a more introspective approach, utilizing pulsating bass and nostalgic chords, with the emotion factor emphasized even more via bittersweet arpeggios and pads.<br />
 On the more optimistic &#8220;Lotus&#8221;, busy snares work their way around the subtle bassline and a firm nod to the Housier side of things is given, evident by familiar strings, filtered goodness and bouncy percussion.</p>

Budding young producer Traumer will release the ‘Takt’ L.P via Bremen’s Herzblut imprint this April, comprising ten original tracks from the Avignon, France born artist.
Romain Reynaud aka Traumer has been enthusiastically developing as a producer in Paris since leaving his hometown of Avignon several years ago. Following the relocation Traumer’s production skills caught the attention of the IRM Records crew in the capital, as well as the Electric Rescue organization for whom Romain DJ’s regularly at the Skyptrom parties in the city. Reynaud’s style meanders through a variety of styles, oscillating through melodious, jazz-tinged deep cuts and dropped tempo, disco-tinged records – through to raw and gritty workouts geared towards the early hours of the dance-floor.
Traumer’s ‘Takt’ L.P lays its focus firmly on gritty electronic sounds, raw rhythms and elements of Jazz, Soul and Disco. Opener ‘Louve’ kicks off proceedings brilliantly with its ambient soundscapes and tension building low-end, followed by the bumpy up-tempo feel of ‘Cyclo’ with its hooky, ever-evolving feel and the cavernous atmospheric vibe found in heady cut, ‘Dayzero’.
Reynaud displays his more melodic side through the house-laden ‘Azure’, which tips the focus towards an infectious piano hook, jazzy guitar licks, elongated bass tones and organic sax hooks. ‘Maa’asalama’, as the Arabic name would suggest, welcomes ethnic instruments in droves, intricately programmed to create a stunning and undeniably unique composition, further showcasing Romain’s ability to produce a variety of styles. ‘Takt’ and ‘Marion’ see Traumer revert back to jazz aesthetics. The two records clock in at 14 and 22 minutes long, and see the French producer’s complex melodies subtly unfold over their durations, playing on blossoming piano lines, pizzicato strings and earth shattering sub-bass lines to great effect.
Traumer instills some dance floor intensity into the L.P too through tracks like ‘Flume’ with its swinging drums, eerie chords and spoken word vocal lines. The dubbed out ‘Quantum’ which embraces a stab-driven structure, fuelled by refined echoes with a sinuous blooming dynamic, and the psychedelic closing piece ‘Fulguration’, which concentrates on trippy, unfolding arp-style synth hooks, chuggy bass and loose drum patterns.
In conclusion Traumer offers up an intelligent body of work here through ‘Takt’, with a coherent theme running across the L.P. This budding young producer is certainly worthy of your attention right now and for the foreseeable future.

When Brazilian producer Althoff and Argentine artist Marvio first crossed paths in Barcelona three years ago, neither imagined that their friendship would evolve into a creative partnership. The duo’s shared studio sessions and mutual passion for deep, emotive electronic music have culminated in 'Disorder EP'.

Between them, Marvio and Althoff boast an impressive pedigree. Marvio, founder of the Argentinian label collective Amancay, has performed at Kater Blau, Pacha Barcelona, Crobar Buenos Aires and Mia Tulum, while earning support from Dixon, Âme and John Digweed. Althoff, whose refined productions have graced labels such as Stil vor Talent, Borders of Light and Multinotes, is celebrated for his fusion of organic rhythms and melodic tension, with backing from Solomun, Adriatique and Toto Chiavetta.

Across 'Disorder EP', the pair blend house grooves and melodic textures into a sound that feels both raw and sophisticated. The title track leads the charge, hypnotic and high-tempo, before Turkish producer Alican, steps in to deliver a sleek and powerful remix. The rest of 'Disorder EP' isn’t just a meeting of sounds, it’s the result of friendship, shared vision and countless nights of exploration. A musical dialogue between Brazil, Argentina and Barcelona’s ever-evolving scene.

Tronic is one of the most established and longest-running techno labels in the world. Founded in 1994 by Christian Smith while he was attending University, the label now has over 430 releases under its belt. Christian and his team have paved the way for many artists including ANNA, Dosem, Wehbba, and more recently Drunken Kong. Tronic's main philosophy is simple: nonpurist, honest, house and techno. The label has released countless of artist albums and is regularly supported by the top players in the industry. Some outstanding releases have been Christian Smith's remixes of Carl Craig's seminal 'At Les" song, which has become one of the biggest vinyl sales releases of the past decade. Other notable releases and remixes came from Laurent Garnier, and Underworld. The weekly Tronic Radio show is being syndicated on over 120 stations worldwide and has had over 500 shows.
