<p>Ian returns to Tronic with his unmistakeable, melody-laden sound and kicks off this threefold affair with the mystical vibe of &#8220;Black Widow&#8221;. Beefy riffs take center stage and intricate synth programming elevates things to manic proportions while a chugging rhythm section combines with snappy bass to keep the groove going. On &#8220;Millennia&#8221; we are offered a more introspective approach, utilizing pulsating bass and nostalgic chords, with the emotion factor emphasized even more via bittersweet arpeggios and pads.<br />
 On the more optimistic &#8220;Lotus&#8221;, busy snares work their way around the subtle bassline and a firm nod to the Housier side of things is given, evident by familiar strings, filtered goodness and bouncy percussion.</p>

An undisputed classic of the electronic music scene, Steve Bug’s 'Loverboy' was released on the first Poker Flat release ever 'Double Action' back in 1999.

Over the years it has been reworked only by a few - but the list includes the likes of Josh Wink and Guido Schneider. Now, as part of the 20 years of Poker Flat celebration, more names are added to that remix list with two new superb remixes from Catz ‘n Dogz and Acid Pauli.

Catz ‘n Dogz are a Polish producer duo making big waves in recent years, and their version of 'Loverboy' brims with their unmistakable energy - chugging, hypnotic groove and tonnes of effects and melodic twists and turns.

Berlin legend Acid Pauli approaches it from a different angle - stripping away elements until a deeply trippy skeletal house track remains.

Tronic is one of the most established and longest-running techno labels in the world. Founded in 1994 by Christian Smith while he was attending University, the label now has over 430 releases under its belt. Christian and his team have paved the way for many artists including ANNA, Dosem, Wehbba, and more recently Drunken Kong. Tronic's main philosophy is simple: nonpurist, honest, house and techno. The label has released countless of artist albums and is regularly supported by the top players in the industry. Some outstanding releases have been Christian Smith's remixes of Carl Craig's seminal 'At Les" song, which has become one of the biggest vinyl sales releases of the past decade. Other notable releases and remixes came from Laurent Garnier, and Underworld. The weekly Tronic Radio show is being syndicated on over 120 stations worldwide and has had over 500 shows. With regards to events, Tronic has had a successful 15-week season in Ibiza at the 3000-capacity Eden super club, while also hosting arenas at established festivals, and doing over 100+ club events worldwide from Tokyo to London, Sao Paulo, and Detroit.
