In their typology, which starts from our typical elements of Heerhorst's deep baselines and catchy melodies, Slin Bourgh's powerful and energetic style & PETER PAHN's marching and driving sound and his escalating mood. For this EP we met in Hamburg especially to be able to work on the project together in Heerhorst's studio. After three intensive days wich went into the nights. For Respekt 166, we welcome Stiv Hey for his first full EP on the label. The release kicks off with 'Can't Stop'; a stone-cold dancefloor destroyer with it's seismic kickdrum, swirling vocal loops and percussive synth hook. Backing it up is 'Control', a slightly deeper take on Stiv's sound, powered by a huge offbeat bass and topped with cool, proggy chords.
As if these two monsters weren't enough, we have a double bill of debut remixers too. Brennen Grey cranks up the drones on his remix of 'Can't Stop', and Juliet Fox takes us on a trip deep into acid territory with her monster rework of 'Control'.

Markantonios label AnalyticTrail welcomes back Australian artist Mha Iri who has released her hard hitting techno tracks on labels such as Steve Mulder's Orange Recordings, Spartaque's Codex and The Yellowheads Reload Black Label.

Mha Iri featured a track made in collaboration with Nohak on an AnalyticTrails mixed artist release titled Expression A5 at the start of 2020, but this time she is back with three solo tracks on her own EP.

Known for her charismatic blend of high energy percussion shrouded in shadowy atmosphere, she is the master of blending hints of euphoria to enrapture with sounds both dark and light.

Burn Steadily opens the release with a sensual vocal layered with a pounding kick drum, stabbing acid and a grinding bassline. Life Is A Game has dramatic synth bursts and swelling tension unleashed with maximum impact. Mission Control has a twisted melody and pulsating rhythms that create an eerie atmosphere full of suspense.

Mha Iri - Burn Steadily

Tronic is one of the most established and longest-running techno labels in the world. Founded in 1994 by Christian Smith while he was attending University, the label now has over 430 releases under its belt. Christian and his team have paved the way for many artists including ANNA, Dosem, Wehbba, and more recently Drunken Kong. Tronic's main philosophy is simple: nonpurist, honest, house and techno. The label has released countless of artist albums and is regularly supported by the top players in the industry. Some outstanding releases have been Christian Smith's remixes of Carl Craig's seminal 'At Les" song, which has become one of the biggest vinyl sales releases of the past decade. Other notable releases and remixes came from Laurent Garnier, and Underworld. The weekly Tronic Radio show is being syndicated on over 120 stations worldwide and has had over 500 shows. With regards to events, Tronic has had a successful 15-week season in Ibiza at the 3000-capacity Eden super club, while also hosting arenas at established festivals, and doing over 100+ club events worldwide from Tokyo to London, Sao Paulo, and Detroit.
