Radio Slave announces Part 2 of Rekids Special Projects ‘Actualize’ compilation.

Rekids Special Projects, the no-nonsense techno-focussed sub-label of Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards’ Rekids, launched in 2017 and has since released music from the likes of Mark Broom, Luke Hess, Jon Hester, and more. For the 50th release, Edwards readies ‘Actualize’, bringing acts from the wider Rekids universe into one slick collection, with the second part arriving this February alongside a DJ mix of the tracks. 

“I had no idea how big this project would become when I started planning the ‘Actualize’ compilation back in October. With 28 tracks, I decided to split the comp into 2 parts, and it also gave me and some of the other artists featured here a chance to finish their tracks. I’m super happy with ‘Actualize’, and it’s a great honour to have guest artists such as Slam and Ian Pooley’s Silvershower project on RSPX.” - Radio Slave

Markantonio's Analytictrail continues its Black Series with a Raw techno release by veteran producer Uncertain.

Uncertain previously released music under the alias of Boriqua Tribez and has been releasing techno since 1989. With an impressive back catalogue including over 150 releases, he has released many tracks on iconic techno '90s labels ranging from UMEK and Valentino Kanzyani's Recycled Loops to Ben Sims' Ingoma.

Launched in 2018, Uncertain is a new alias for a modern generation of techno fans. His current sound fuses the timeless tribal elements that are true to his original style with contemporary production techniques. Uncertain tracks have been signed to labels ranging from Radio Slave's RSPX to Coyu's Suara.

"Punish" opens the release with flowing tribal percussion and dramatic stabs before "Fear" takes control with its hypnotic synth line and pounding drums. "Emerge" is a stripped-back cut with raw funk and a hard-hitting techno groove.

Markantonio reunites with Drumsauw as the pair unveil their five-track ‘Fusion’ EP on AnalyticTrail.

A longstanding name at the heart of the Neapolitan scene before his impressive emergence and career on the international circuit, Italian favourite Markantonio has been an artist leading the forefront of the techno scene for over two decades now. And yet, whether as an artist, a DJ or a label boss, he continues to impress as an artist evolving and shaping the sound of the genre’s future. After recently linking up with one another on Carlo Lio and Kareem Cali’s label On Edge Society in late 2022, he reunites with up-and-coming British techno figure Drumsauw for five more dynamic and impactful techno efforts as they return to Markantonio’s renowned AnalyticTrail imprint for their ‘Fusion’ EP.

Opening the package with authority, lead track ‘Emotions’ is a punchy and warping lead effort built for big moments, while ‘Slave’ keeps the energy high with snarling acid-flecked leads, eerie stabs and shimmering metallic hats throughout. Next, ‘Machine’ is an agile and lively effort which bounces between arpeggiated bass patterns and wonky synth melodies, before title track ‘Fusion’ is another heavy-hitting effort built for peak hours and resounding kicks go to work beneath trippy vocal snippets and sharp percussion licks. To close, the pair don’t hold back with final effort ‘Chromatic’ - a bouncy and poignant techno effort with a soulful flair made for all hours of the night.

Tronic is one of the most established and longest-running techno labels in the world. Founded in 1994 by Christian Smith while he was attending University, the label now has over 430 releases under its belt. Christian and his team have paved the way for many artists including ANNA, Dosem, Wehbba, and more recently Drunken Kong. Tronic's main philosophy is simple: nonpurist, honest, house and techno. The label has released countless of artist albums and is regularly supported by the top players in the industry. Some outstanding releases have been Christian Smith's remixes of Carl Craig's seminal 'At Les" song, which has become one of the biggest vinyl sales releases of the past decade. Other notable releases and remixes came from Laurent Garnier, and Underworld. The weekly Tronic Radio show is being syndicated on over 120 stations worldwide and has had over 500 shows. With regards to events, Tronic has had a successful 15-week season in Ibiza at the 3000-capacity Eden super club, while also hosting arenas at established festivals, and doing over 100+ club events worldwide from Tokyo to London, Sao Paulo, and Detroit.
