Björn Torwellen’s ‘Binary Fate’ EP kickstarts CLR’s 2025 with three pounding Techno tracks 31st January 2025. From the razor-sharp percussion and raw bassline power in title track ‘Binary Fate’, to the cavernous dub hits and shadowy atmospheres of ‘Fear of the Unknown’, before closing on the mind-warping signals of ‘Lost in Transmission’ - Torwellen’s ‘Binary Fate’ is yet another supersized debut on the seminal CLR.

Following Björn Torwellen’s appearance on the CLR podcast in June 2024, the Cologne-based artist now definitively joins Chris Liebing’s label with the ‘Binary Fate’ three-tracker this January. With a career spanning over two decades, Björn is known for his discography on labels like De-Konstrukt, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, nonlinear systems, and now CLR.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like Shlomi Aber, Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, DJ Dextro and more while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene such as Risa Taniguchi, The Southern, and Klint.

Its Just Us

Yegen is a charming village located in the Alpujarra region of Granada, Spain. It is part of the municipality of Alpujarra de la Sierra and sits at an altitude of approximately 1,040 meters. The village gained fame thanks to the British writer Gerald Brenan, who lived there in the 1920s and described its beauty and customs in his book South from Granada. Brenan was captivated by Yegen's picturesque setting, its unique architecture, and the warmth of its people.

The village is known for its tranquil atmosphere and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. It has a rich history, with many of its inhabitants being descendants of settlers from northern Spain after the expulsion of the Moriscos in the 17th century. In recent years, Yegen has attracted visitors and residents from across Europe, drawn by its peaceful environment and rural charm.

DISCASE is formed from the German-Greek DJ collaboration of Manuel and Fotios. Their expression blurs many musical boundaries. While the foundation is electronic, as they play house music, it also finds more complexities on the dance floor. 

Their DJ style is energetic but laid back at any time. A thoughtful mix of Deep House, Nu Disco and Electronica showcase their diverse palette and allows the vibrant DJs to come to life with a driving force that is focused solely on the audience. They achieve this with the DISCASE ME. podcast series every two weeks presenting the latest hits of the electronic music scene. 

Their cooperation hasn't always been focused on DJing, they are also connected through a similar love of producing music. Between two studios they spend countless hours crafting the sounds that perfectly encompass their mission to show their talent of producing soulful dance-floor worthy rhythms.

So I have more music for you guys!! Back in March I took a trip over to San Diego to play at a magical festival called @desert-hearts-records , set in an Indian Reservation in the mountains. It was nothing short of amazing in terms of vibes, people and the set up <3 I was inspired from the festival to write something a bit different to my usual stuff. I wrote this piece of music for them called 'Dream Supreme', which encompasses the vibe of the festival in my eyes. Label boss M.in of My Favourite Freaks Music locked himself inside of his studio with all of the new analogue synthesizers and drum computers. The achievement of this work is his new album “Year Of The Ape“, which has been released on July 01st and the feedbacks on it where overwhelming.
Now it is about time to reveal his third Remix EP, which contains the 2 original tracks and 3 stunning Remixes.

The collab with Riven gave birth to the house smasher with the suitable name ‘Connect’, which takes the listener on a journey with exciting vocal shots and groovy synth stabs.

‘Real Underground’ that is also a result of the collaboration with Riven, M.in his love to analogue synths shows up very clearly again. With the Moog Mother 32 he created a mad synth line that again and again comes across the deep bass of the Sub 37. M.in himself explains the message of the track with his own vocals: ‘Just clap!’
