We are excited to present you a new single from Italian artist, Pagano! He delivered three peak time bombs all of which have different styles, but still have his unmistakable sound. 'Scoop' the main track of this EP features the same organ sound heard on many house anthems, but worked in a cool and fun techno way! In addition, 'Zelig' and 'Dichotomy' are two signature Pagano-style tracks that focus on strong grooves and stabs!

Say What? 191 is the last release of another exciting year for the label and we wanted to close with a huge bang! Therefore we are happy to welcome Swedish techno producer MarAxe with a stellar EP called 'Pyramid'.

The title track starts off with MarAxe’s typical rolling, raw and unforgiving energy. Chords emerge from the deep and build up in perfect sync - a true testament to the power of raw techno in its purest form, a reminder of the genre’s origins and glimpse into the future.

'Subatomic' is next up on the release and doesn’t let the power fade away, weaving a narrative of dystopian futurism with driving rhtyhms, intricate synth patterns and undulating basslines just the way we like it.

'Larma' follows with an unrelenting onslaught of pounding kicks and hypnotic sequences mixed with an abrasive fusion of metallic clanks and surgings synths, pushing the boundaries of sonic intensity.

'Jura' is the last track of the EP and a declaration of techno’s unrelenting spirit and a praise to the power of raw and unfiltered sound with its hypnotic groove and rolling explosive energy.

PREMIERE: MarAxe - Pyramid [Say What?]

Say What? steps into 2024 with heat from our Japanese label regular - Nobuharu Morimoto packed up in a 4-track EP.

We start off with the track 'Renda' - a piano powered monster that reminds us of those early 90s warehouse parties. Deep yet driving and full of surprises this track has Nobuharu’s unique approach to techno all written over this.

Second up on the release is 'Ao', a deep roller instantly sweeps you off your feet with its infectious vibe. The dark elevating elements and unfiltered sound is a testament to the essence of techno and crafts a sonic narrative that transcends conventional boundaries.

Third on the release is 'Kippu'. Bass-heavy and trippy are the first words that come to mind when hearing this track. A hypnotic melody leads the way while the deep kick drum blasts the woofers of the systems whereever this will be played.

Last but not least we have 'Outsider' - an acid edged track that seamlessly blends hypnotic rhythms, relentless beats and atmospheric textures into one and showing that Nobuharu is for sure one of the new school players in the scene!

UK based Italian Pagano has a pretty serious CV. Playing a blend of House and Techno with his own reworks of classics, Pagano has crafted a solid niche for himself.

DJ MAG UK said of him “Pagano has emerged as one of Italy's finest DJs. An accomplished hand in the studio and behind the decks... Pagano is no overnight DJ sensation. A keen studier of sound, the man is obsessed with finding obscure gems and unique cuts and layering them together in his own inimitable manner”

Through the years he has collected under his belt a series of high profile DJ residencies including London’s club EGG and the legendary TRADE and has DJed at some of the most renown venues worldwide such as Amnesia, Space Ibiza, Privilege, Ministry Of Sound, Fabric, Stereo, The Brooklyn Mirage, Space (Miami), Razzmatazz, Fuse, Kitkat, Paradiso, Westerunie. This led him to share DJ booths with Nicole Moudaber, Nina Kraviz, Boris from Berghain, Christian Smith, Monika Kruse, Mark Knight, Chus & Ceballos, Kaiserdisco, Coyu, Dennis Ferrer, Horse Meat Disco, David Penn, Joey Negro, Satoshi Tomiie and many others.

As a producer, Pagano has released on many labels worldwide: TOOLROOM, TRONIC, 1605, NERVOUS, DEEPERFECT, UNITY, BITTEN, STEREO / IBERICAN, PACHA, MINISTRY OF SOUND and others. In 2015 Pagano launched his own independent label KISM Recordings. During his career he has produced official remixes of tracks from Yoko Ono (aka ONO), Danny Tenaglia, Billie Ray Martin, Mauro Picotto, Robin S, De'lacy, Kathy Brown and others. 

His productions have been supported during their DJ sets or Radio Shows by a variety of DJs including CARL COX, ADAM BEYER, UMEK, DANNY TENAGLIA, NICOLE MOUDABER, PACO OSUNA, MARK KNIGHT, CHUS & CEBALLOS, ROGER SANCHEZ, SKREAM, TENSNAKE, FORMAT:B, TIESTO, PAUL VAN DYK, DAVID GUETTA, BOB SINCLAR and many others. They've reached the Top 10 of dance charts in UK, USA, Germany, Italy including Billboard, DMC, Buzz charts, Cool Cuts and have been played in dance music programmes of many radios including BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM. Tronic is one of the most established and longest-running techno labels in the world. Founded in 1994 by Christian Smith while he was attending University, the label now has over 430 releases under its belt. Christian and his team have paved the way for many artists including ANNA, Dosem, Wehbba, and more recently Drunken Kong. Tronic's main philosophy is simple: nonpurist, honest, house and techno. The label has released countless of artist albums and is regularly supported by the top players in the industry. Some outstanding releases have been Christian Smith's remixes of Carl Craig's seminal 'At Les" song, which has become one of the biggest vinyl sales releases of the past decade.
