Paul Ritch is no stranger to Drumcode and has returned with an outstanding single featuring three tracks that will dominate DJ sets. The first track ‘Run Baby Run’ entertains us with an arpeggiated chord sequence that is accompanied by percussion-like synth sounds before bursting into a thick-layered sequence of sound. The dark and dubby side of the single see’s Paul’s ‘Astral’ bring a funky sleazed out groovy track that also uses a discerning melody. ‘Mind Insistence’ is a dark 5am groove that will keep the dance floor swaying in the early hours with it’s tripped out feel and syncopated percussion.

First are the Spanish duo Gabriel DOr and Bordoy and from the very first minute you realize this track cannot get much more techno than this. Using a heavy bassline mixed up nicely with subtle sounds and effects. Macromism remix is next and It starts with some crisp beats and a gritty bassline takes control making this production really nasty. As last is Alex Costa and it comes to the table with another devastating bassline featuring solid effects and a bit more bouncy percussive elements keeping a good vibe throughout. Slovenian producer UMEK returns to Tronic with his new, killer 2 track EP, Certain Trace. Straight out the gate, some serious no-nonsense techno comes in the form of Deja Vu. It has a thundering kick, haunting synth stabs and a piercing percussive fusion. It has a warped synthetic stab which punches throughout the track and gives some serious authority.

The title track Certain Trace has a mind-melting hook combination, driving listeners into the depths of the mix. It grows in complexity as the track progresses with a catchy elevating style rhythm.

DJ Jock makes his second appearance on phobiq and guise you three perfect productions for his latest creation, “The Binding of Fenrir”. The title track is first up and begins with groovy inspired drum work and some deep dark sounds while rolling synths take control and push the momentum even further. Things get serious on “Catacombs” with pumping pads and persistent percussion creating a mysterious dark energy. Last but not least we are introduced to “Ravaged Fields” and take a ride through rolling snares, huge bass and apocalyptic synths giving it a more “heads down” approach, yet keeping the groove steady.

Other notable releases and remixes came from Laurent Garnier, and Underworld. The weekly Tronic Radio show is being syndicated on over 120 stations worldwide and has had over 500 shows. With regards to events, Tronic has had a successful 15-week season in Ibiza at the 3000-capacity Eden super club, while also hosting arenas at established festivals, and doing over 100+ club events worldwide from Tokyo to London, Sao Paulo, and Detroit.
