For those of you who have been following the Délices du midi project since its inception, my passion for logos and characters will not seem insignificant.
I'm particularly fond of logos from the 80s, 90s and even the early 2000s. The logos of dancehall labels are particularly incredible, so I've put together a selection of some of my favourite logos and tracks.
1 h of anthems beat-matched as possible (over 16 bars) + dancehall FX special (air-horn,lasers,wheelz)

Given the number of logos in existence, a vol.2 mixtape is highly envisaged.

Iydes on NTS

Hailing from Durban, South Africa, the trio Omagoqa consisting of Andile Mazibuko (Ma_A), Franco Makhathini (KB) and Njabulo Sibiya (Chase), are the vanguard of a new generation of artists ushering in a new wave of Gqom.

Calling their take on Gqom ‘uThayela’ & ‘Is’qinsi’,  it's a rougher sound with a harder bassline that it is made for clubs. ‘uThayela’ translates literally to “corrugated iron” which you find being used as roofing material on most South African homes), while ‘Is’qinsi’ is described as an infusion between ‘uThayela’ and the electronic sounds generally associated with the influences they incorporate from electronic music genres from outside of South Africa. 

Having been together for over 10 years, the trio have worked alongside some of SA's biggest artists, including a recent run of collaborations with titans such as DBN Gogo, DJ Lag & Dee Traits, but also collaborations with UK legend Scratcha DVA, showing that ten years into their career they barely just begun.
