Trouble and Mischief Present their take on the 'Big Society'

In 2007 'Trouble and Mischief’ was born as a studio project

By late 2008 T&M had started performing live as a festival act..

Trouble & Mischief (T&M) are a festival cabaret dance act. Playing jazz and swing blended with 70' ska n punk and modern day dance beats, They have put their own original slant to dance music and added some subtle politics, observational comedy and performance poetry to the heady mix.

T&M have a unique sound, which is recognisable, original, very different, funny, eclectic, eccentric entertaining cabaret and each tune holds it own with in each genre.

T&M have been sponsored by 'Polyp' http://www.polyp.org.uk Famous Political Cartoonist for New Internationalist who has given us permission to use his art work and some of his animations for our first album 'Money or Your Life'.

T&M have also been endorsed by MAC cosmetics and licensed by Playnetwork.com and will be played and available in 70 countries around rhe world.

T&M have performed at many festivals and parties across the South West, headlining the cabaret stage at Sunrise Festival 2010 and shared the Stage with acts such as Zion Train, Tragic Roundabout and Vagabond Bogollo Boys.

While receiving great responses for their live performances, they have had the ability to change their live sets to suit banging dance tents or cabaret stages.

Although this started as a studio project it came alive and into true form as a live act, its fun, light hearted and hugely entertaining with a message from the heart & tales to tell if you enter their cartoon world. Trouble & Mischief are ready make a big name for themselves on the festival circuit !
More About Trouble & Mischief

Tor Rubble self described or should it be prescribed as 'Ian Dury in the Dance World' has been writing poetry and music for many years; he founded critically acclaimed ‘The Toretz’. He is now writing arranging and producing the music and some of the words for ‘Trouble & Mischief’ you can hear many different influences in his tunes.

 

Ali Luia aka Mischief, is a fantastic lyricist and previously lead singer with ‘Sunfish'.  has been singing in dance acts across the south west for many years and has added the female perspective to Trouble & Mischief’s cartoon world.

 

Adding his own flavour of jazz dub sax, mixed with a cocktail of fun, Gypsy Dave, previously played sax with 'The Alman Mulo Band' featuring Harvey Bainbridge (Ex Hawkwind) appearing on Diamonds and Toads (CD) and played The Marquee Club, Porthcawl Festival, and Glastonbury Festival.
