We are glad to invite @a_cigarra for the Trouble Mix series debut, our monthly guest release.

Born in São Paulo, the city where she grew up in the daily flows of immigration and developed street expression tactics in party collectives, she has been a DJ, performer, music producer and cultural agent for over 15 years. She dedicated half of this time to the Lisbon scene in partnership with the city and dissident artists, had her parties resident in the city's main venues and is an agent of the rise of street carnival in Portugal. Carniçeira, BLOCU, MeioFio (Festival Alkantara), Ancestrofuturismo, SOMA, Hystereofônica, Roda de Sample are some of the projects she has spearheaded over the years in research into decolonial crossroads.

Cigarra performed at festivals in more than 10 countries across Europe, with one album (as Trypas Corassão) and two EPs released and tracks on various compilations around the world, in addition to writing original soundtracks for dance, performance and cinema shows. Her music brings an engaged and seductive research, crossing diasporic marginalities with the commotion of pop and experimental subversion. Crispy and creamy, to the venous extent that makes the track sweat.

We are glad to invite @xd_erica for the 2nd Trouble Mix, our monthly guest release.

xD_Eric She/They/Them, São Paulo born and Berlin based multiartist, co-founder of the Brazilian collective ‘Chernobyl’. The passion for music started with the influence of her family. She searching for Latin peripheral music ranging from Brazilian funk, passing through many other aspects as Techno, Hard dance and Latin Core that make LATAM catch fire. Their approach to Black music comes from some of her family members, like her father and uncles, who in the 80’s organized Black Music balls in São Paulo. “I collect countless works that make me proud and I am increasingly hungry for knowledge. I had uncles who are DJs and always thought it was amazing and inspired me.”

Mestra no violino, sua sonoridade,  ao mesmo tempo catártica e abissal, são desdobramentos da ancestralidade musical do Nordeste do Brasil, sua terra natal. N▲N▼ processa a efervescência do frevo, a pungência do maracatu e a transcendência dos pontos de Orixá das nações Ketu e Nagô para propor respostas em forma de som para perguntas como "Quando foi que eu entendi que era preta?" ou "Como eu aprendi a lutar pelo meu corpo?". Suas composições usam o improviso como fio condutor para nutrir cenas peculiares e inesquecíveis.

For the program of this month we are glad to present the amazing @4leakim


Aleakim is one of the projects of Mikaela Pimentel, born in Olinda and based in Rio de Janeiro. She has been involved in the Rio electronic scene since an early age, initially as a promoter and, since 2020, as a DJ-selector. She is part of the Rio collective Escola de Mistérios and a resident DJ for the party collectives Inception Rio and Mov Festival. In her sets, she dwells in the intersection between the abstract sounds of Detroit techno and the syncopated percussiveness of Afro-diasporic rhythms.

Always in dialogue with the dancefloor, her work aims to create an atmosphere of introspection, dissolution and catharsis without being limited by BPMs and musical genres. She has performed on online radio programs, both nationally and internationally (Casa Caos, Function, Root - TR, Planet Ibiza - ES), as well as at parties and festivals such as O/NDA, Gruta, Domply, Festival de Ativação Urbana (FAU) and Rock the Mountain.

Abdallah Ramadhani Abdallah Popular Knows as YOUR DANSO is a DJ and Producer of Singeli music from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is known for his unique skill in combining unique Singeli rhythms with the use of modern technologies to produce powerful and focused music. Your Danso uses popular software like Virtual DJ, Logic Pro, and FL Studio to produce and edit his songs.

 As an artist who likes to do things effectively, Your Danso also uses a Bluetooth Keyboard in producing and playing his music Live, which shows his creativity and efficiency in writing and performing music. Through the combination of sound and unique style, Your Danso has become famous among Singeli music fans, being one of the emerging names in the new generation music industry in Tanzania.

Julio Sosa, known as DJ SOSA RD, is a Dominican artist born in 1988 who has excelled at the intersection of installation and audiovisual art, music production, and DJ sets. He started his career in 2006 in Santo Domingo and in 2013 moved to Spain to complete a master's degree in Visual and Multimedia Arts. Through his music, he has successfully fused rave and subversive culture with the political ambiance of techno and Caribbean rhythms, creating a unique context of irony, harmony, and cultural diversity. His works have been distributed under labels in various countries and he has presented mixes on internationally recognized platforms such as NTS and Dublab and Keep Hush, in addition to performing in events for collectives such as Cotch (London), Promesses (Paris) and being a regular at the Fuego events in Razzmattazz and Polyglot (both in Barcelona).
