Orainn is a new label set up by R.Kitt. Over the coming months, the label will serve as an outlet to release much of the productions that have been highlights of R.Kitt's live show from 2019 and more recently. Orainn means "on us" in Irish. The name references how emotion is described in Irish language. A person doesn't say that they are feeling something in Irish but rather they say that that feeling is on them. This description of emotion seems to be a far more accurately transient way to view emotion than the rather static English alternative. Music is fundamentally an emotional form of communication, and one of the most profound places where that musical emotional experience can be shared is on the dancefloor. Joined together by rhythm and movement, the strength of the emotional experiences of those moments are not generated by one of us, but by the gathered power of all of us. That feeling is not just on you or on me, but it is on us, Orainn.

With an electro spine, the Russian-based producer Komartsov dives into the depths with this first track off of the "Basement Of Dreams EP" on TR4R with an emotive and floating electro 90s-influenced anthem.The "Basement Of Dreams EP" is brimming with both wonder and enchantment as the Russian-based producer Komartsov comes up with the moody 303-driven electro burner ‘Up Vertically’. The jacking momentum of the track only builds stronger as swirls of FM pads and distorted radio wave voices submerge—landing on the safe waters of both lush and laid-back acid bliss.Moments of euphoria exist throughout this "Basement Of Dreams EP" release, like in the drumless breaks in ‘Chemistry Of Love,’ which allows for one to catch an ethereal breadth before dropping us back into the full force of the bass thumping powerhouse. One of the strongest examples is “Source Data,” which meanders through chopped breakbeats and cascading stabs into a raving, trance-tinged banger.Rounding out the release is a remix of ‘Reminiscence’ by one of the TR4R co-founders Florian, who extends this release with an even wider breadth of genre-bending prowess. A breaky future bass take on the to compliment the range of moods this release adapts to on the dancefloor.

Butter Sessions swiftly follows up Sleep D's May release BSD-01 with two complimentary heavyweights for a 12" release, Freak of Nature. Listeners may feel acquainted with the tracks as both have served as a staple in Sleep D's live set over the last 12 months.


Freak Of...is a strong beckon of electro-tinged techno that lures with a fearless pulse and an entrancing inflection, utilizing the faithful sounds of the Roland Jupiter 6, Super Jupiter and TR-09. The follow-up echoes basslines and percussion to overtly fuse the two tracks together. Nature taps further into Sleep D's homage to the live techno greats of the 1990s and early 2000s, mirroring their vigorous and eager momentum. Overall, Freak of Nature hits as an anesthetic swirl of brisk looping and thoughtful production.
