VAPOUR is the debut album of producer and Trouw resident dj Patrice Bäumel, known for previous releases on Get Physical, Trapez, or !K7. It is the first release on Trouw, the label of Amsterdam's famous and identically named club. The label's focus will lie on challenging the status quo of today's electronic dance music and going beyond being yet another provider of dj-friendly musical fast food. The physical cd release will contain a guestlist invitation to a Trouw event of choice in order to give the listener the total experience.

In spirit, VAPOUR is 100% techno, a continuous act of finding and losing balance, a collision of contrasting elements - man vs machine. It tells this dark story without words, instead it creates a universe that only loosely relates to the outside world, full of conflict and suspense. Abstract rhythms and soundscapes form an almost otherworldy backdrop to measured emotional outbursts. "I want this record to stimulate the listener's imagination and leave room for him or her to fill in the blanks. Transparent, intangible, constantly moving. Hence the album title."

Bäumel's maiden album threads a fine line between club and living room. It is a timeless piece of listening techno, providing the kind of fluidity that works wonderfully on a car stereo, your iPod or in afterhour situations, with the odd dancefloor moment thrown in for good measure. „Nachdem ich zwei Alben veröffentlicht hatte“, sagt @kalipo-1, „wollte ich zur Abwechslung mal an einer EP arbeiten, die mehr auf die Clubs zielt.“ Das tat Jakob Häglsperger, so sein bürgerlicher Name, auch – und zwar mit der „Charlie“ EP, die Mitte November 2016 erscheinen soll. „Somit war das Format klar und die Titelanzahl begrenzt, was die Trackauswahl aber nicht vereinfachte.“ Der gebürtige Bayer saß vor fast 40 mehr oder weniger fertigen Tracks und war erstmal damit überfordert, welche Werke überhaupt relevant dafür sind. Charlie is an effect of Kalipos own music journey. The whole EP can be interpreted as a story of a history written on the way. The music reflects various emotions attached to different parts of the specific journey of the author as in the same time he struggles to get into the listeners mind and trying to foretell their emotions. 

The release tells about the journey and emotional adventures on the way of flying octopus Charlie. There is a composition of feelings and odd things happening with him. The dreamy opener And the Stone of Heart sets the adventure mode from the very beginning, inviting the listeners to follow the octopus and experience different narcotic feelings inspired by music such as Watching Elephants on Bikes and Riding the White Camel.

12 months after the debut album of Piotr Bejnar was released, we achieved gathering 4 remixes from this album. Piotr turned to the artists he most admired and who stated for him as great authorities. The record starts with a beautiful remix of the song "Bagieta" made by Ada from Pampa records. Second track is a dance version of the "Jellyfish" made by Piotr Bejnar himself. The third artist on the record is Piotr's idol from many years - Frivolous. To this one Piotr stood up to since childhood as a long- term fan of Frivolous, buying his albums and tracking his path. And now as for the crowning of the record - stands an artist closely related to Otake records – Kalipo with a total dance floor banger remix of “Jellyfish”

From tomorrow you will find records in most Polish vinyl stores. From next week we launch foreign distribution. Vinyls will be available on decks, juno, etc.

Earlier this year the São Paulo duo Phillipi & Rodrigo dropped their beautifully uplifting debut album ‘Paciencia’, which earned the backing of an eclectic array of supporters. Now Phillipi is set to release his debut solo EP ‘Amadurecimento’ 

While ‘Paciencia’ pulsated with a euphoric beach party vibe, Phillipi’s solo project explores much darker territory. By uncompromisingly maximising the bass alongside a relentless beat, lead track ‘São Paulo’ is immediately oppressive and ominous. That intensity only amplifies as it’s blown open with tribal percussion, almost whispered vocals and glitchy synth stabs. ‘Vibe De Verao’ then takes a more progressive approach, with minimalist techno constantly evolving in surprising and inventive ways.

The EP’s second half extends Phillipi’s impossible-to-pigeonhole approach. In complete contrast to the preceding tracks, ‘9000’ is cinematic in scope and lighter in tone, feeling like the score to a lost ‘70s sci-fi cult classic that’s been reworked for 2019. And ‘Gelo Seco’ caps an unorthodox sonic adventure by setting a spliced, stuttered vocal simple around a dancefloor-friendly soundscape - making the title, the Portuguese phrase for dry ice, entirely appropriate.
