Right now this is the most difficult time for Ukraine we decided to continue to share and promote Ukrainian artists' music and to develop the Ukrainian electronic scene. So today we're back to our audience with an incredible album "Kombimezon" by Ukrainian Odesa-based artist Polje aka Viktor Konstantinov. Here is what the artist's saying about his own material:
~ "My name is Viktor, I am a self-taught musician from Odesa, Ukraine. I started recording and posting my first songs on the Internet somewhere around 2013.
Polje is my main alias, under which I release music and perform in the format of electronic live or as a DJ since 2017.
"Kombinezon" (“jumpsuit” in English) is the first LP under this name. This album is a soup that took time to gather ingredients: traveling, sitting at home, trying to experience life in the capital, the opportunity to look at the context of the hometown from the outside, catching influences from art, literature, and more.
It turns out that I belong to the type of musicians who find it difficult to work in one style. I rarely manage to do something whole and at the same time relatively large in volume. But this time I solved this problem for myself: gradually I identified the basic set of sounds, instruments, and ways to use them. Then the sound produced easily absorbed the rest of the colorful community - as a comfortable jumpsuit.

Зараз це найскладніший час для України, та ми вирішили продовжувати релізити та просувати музику українських артистів і розвивати українську електронну сцену. Тож сьогодні ми повертаємося до нашої аудиторії з неймовірним альбомом «Kombinezon» українського одеського виконавця Polje aka Віктора Константинова. Ось що артист каже про власний матеріал:
~ "Мене звати Віктор, я - музикант-самоук із Одеси. Свої перші пісні почав записувати і викладати в інтернет десь у 2013-му році.
Polje - мій основний псевдонім, під яким я публікую свою музику та виступаю в форматі електронного лайву або як ді-джей з 2017-го.
«Kombinezon» - це перший LP під цим ім'ям. Цей альбом є таким супом, збір інгредієнтів до якого потребував часу: мандрування, сидіння вдома, спроби відчути життя в столиці, можливість подивитися на контекст рідного міста зі сторони, виловлювання впливів з мистецтва, літератури тощо.
Так вийшло, що я відношуся до того типу музикантів, яким важко працювати в одному напрямі. Мені рідко вдається зробити щось цільне і водночас відносно велике за обсягом. Але цього разу я вирішив для себе цю проблему: поступово я визначив основний набір звуків, інструментів та шляхів їхнього використання. Далі вироблене звучання легко вдягло в себе решту різнобарвної спільноти - як зручний комбінезон.

“VA: NOTATOK 1” is the label's debut release and kicks off our “NOTATOK” fundraising compilation series. The album contains tracks by musicians from Odesa and Kyiv, performed in various genres: from bedroom jazz to herbal ambient and Cossack Duma.

80% of the proceeds from the sales of this compilation will be transferred to the accounts of several volunteer organizations that help the Ukrainian military and civilians affected by the war started by the terrorist state of the russian federation.

“VA: NOTATOK 1” є дебютним релізом лейблу і відкриває серію наших фандрайзінгових компіляцій “NOTATOK”. Збірка містить композиції від музикантів із Одеси та Києва, виконані в різних жанрах: від бедрум джазу до рослинного ембіенту й козацької думи. 

80% доходів від продажів цієї збірки будуть переведені на рахунки кількох волонтерських організацій, які допомагають українським військовим та цивільним, що постраждали від війни, яку розпочала держава-терорист російська федерація.

Bloomed In September Tapes - молодий касетний лейбл, який, в основному, зосереджений на дослідженні незалежної української сцени 90-х. Каталог лейблу налічує понад 20 касетних видань, серед яких можна зустріти такі імена як Цукор - Біла Смерть, Yarn, Foa Hoka, Blemish, Повільне Кермо, сольні роботи Олександра Юрченка та Леоніда Бєлєя, а також відносно нові проєкти як Ногируки та Неймовіра.

Основний меседж лейблу - це ознайомлення слухачів з цікавими музичними роботами, часом навіть зовсім невідомими, не спираючись на якісь певні стилістичні орієнтири, а скоріше зосередження на відкритті артефактів, які досі лежать під поверхнею.

Bloomed In September Tapes is a young cassette label primarily focused on exploring the independent Ukrainian music scene of the 90s. The label's catalog includes over 20 cassette releases, featuring artists such as Tsukor - Bila Smert, Yarn, Foa Hoka, Blemish, Povilne Kermyo, solo works by Oleksandr Yurchenko and Leonid Biely, as well as relatively new projects like Nohyruky and Neymovira.

The main message of the label is to introduce listeners to interesting musical works, sometimes entirely unknown, without relying on specific stylistic guidelines, but rather focusing on uncovering artifacts that still lie beneath the surface.
