General Comment:
*This is a weird one for sure.  Quite a contrast of Punk and Pop within itself.  I have yet to decide if that is a good thing haha *

What is it about?
** Sometimes it feels like everything and everybody is working against us.  But if try to consciously remember and try to live everyday like it could be your last, your life will be more fulfilling **

X - Trouble Spots
*** Drums Drums Drums!  I had trouble with this, and ran out of time so it is what it is at this point.  At least the idea is there, but drummers will laugh ***

✔ - What I like most about it
**** The musicality of the chorus.  I enjoy the guitar progression and mood of it.  ****

General Comment:
* Still not sure if this is a full acoustic song, or better with other instruments.  I may have to track the latter version to really know.  This was pretty fun to monkey around with vocally *

What is it about?
** Please see "Afrodite" in the dictionary!  If it can be taken sexually, it was probably written with that in mind.   The 2nd verse lyrics here are same as the first simply by mistake (couldn't remember which - or Find - the notebook I had handwritten the lyrics in) **

X - Trouble Spots
***  3 part Harmonizing the word "Break" in the choruses, thus left it out.  Not being able to find my tambourine for the Chorus ***

✔ - What I like most about it
**** the overall acoustic groove of the song, Afrodite harmonies, and middle 8 background whisper ****

General Comment:
* Wow, this came together quick.  Written in 1 night, tracked the next.  This was kind of fun, almost reaching into the Comedy Lyric which has always been a "no go zone" for me - so this is me out on a limb *

What is it about?
** I think most Dads are the same.  Their childhood hardship stories become grander every time they are told.  We are so Naive as children who idolize them, we lap it all up until one day we are mature enough to realize that they were having good natured fun at our expense.  
I believe this is the reason everyone has one leg longer than the other, it was pulled so often  **

X - Trouble Spots
*** I thought to spend another day on this as I hear lags in Tempo on the guitar and Hesitation in the Vocal Phrasing.   I simply did not play the song enough times to really become familiar with it and solidify everything.  But this project is all about "creation & completion", NOT "perfect production"  and "phenomenal playing" - so this is it.  Fresh, but with warts n' all ***

✔ - What I like most about it
**** I love the "country ditty" breakdown on the guitar & the playfulness of the lyrical content.  Harmonizing this has soooo many possibilities.  I look forward to ironing it all out one day in pre-production ****

General Comment:
* Written 1 day, arranged and tracked the  next.  About as straight from my brain as I get *

What is it about?
** 1) Everybody answers to, is Driven by something, is "Ruled by" something.  Good and Bad for me it's music and every type of thing and person that comes along with it 2) Life means nothing if you do not Learn from your experiences **

X - Trouble Spots
*** Harmonies are single takes, basically ideas on the fly.
Rattling of the Acoustic Guitar because it's such a new song I wasn't fretting chords as well as I could ***

✔ - What I like most about it
**** All the varied melody, the Lyrics and the 2 note recurring turn around ****

What is it about?
** 1) The journey of finding oneself and/or becoming comfortable and ultimately confident in that
     2) Consciously striving to improve all aspects of oneself **

*** Mixing was very challenging for some reason. ***

✔ - What I like most about it
**** Lots of firsts.  Slide guitar / Open G Tuning.  Capo'd guitars, Singing in my lowest register.  This 3:30 taught me ALOT ****

* This was really rushed but all came about in about 4 hours from the first chord to a 1st demo version *

** 1) hit bottom to rebuild, just make sure you don't rebuild exactly as things were before unless you want to hit bottom again. 
2) Consciously striving to improve all aspects of oneself **

*** Time ! ! ! With 2 days off in many weeks, this was rushed, it is rough, but … you be the judge ***

✔ - What I like most about it
**** The variation of Melodies and defined parts within very 2 very similar chord progressions ****
