Our minds are a form of an echo chamber.   Deep in our minds our thoughts, impressions and actions can have an echo effect where we hear and replay things again and again.  Sometimes it can torment us, sometimes it can bring peace.   Seek those places of the mind that bring us the most joy!

This was my very first song I created.  It was one of those songs that came to me fairly quickly and was for the most part completed in a couple of days.  I believe it was near the end of 1985.   I never recorded it digitally until 2021.  It is one of my favorites simply if, for no other reason that it was the first and it seems to me to have a nice flow through the various sections.

God imparts wisdom to us line upon line, precept on precept.  This song, still in process, is an example of this.  It starting with one tiny little piece I liked, but I struggled to find a way to make it into a song.   It has evolved slowly over time.  I view it as a "gift" slowly received.   We all have different gifts that the Almighty imparts to each of us a little at a time.  Searching for those gifts and persistence in developing them is part of what he wants from us.  What gifts is God trying to impart to you?  Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you!

This is a continuation of the theme of a previous "Journey" song, the "Journey Home".    It veers into a different direction as our life's journey's often start in similar places but take us in many different directions and we end up with differing experiences from each journey.

Those that pass before us stay with us.  Their memories live on, and, in some cases, in a very real sense, they speak to us from beyond the veil of this life.  This song tries to capture the warmth of the memories of our loved ones and how they can still impact our lives as the memories live on.
