this is the first song under my new project name "mathimidori"!
i did the first song "konomama" with my friends from tokyo dj PI-GE and his girlfriend shoco who gave her voice to our song.the song will come out on raummusik with a reboot and maayan nidam remix;-)

After the 10 years anniversary in 2010 it’s time to welcome the 11th label year with a strong collabo 12” by the label boss himself – Woody featuring Felipe Valenzuela and Dani Casarano! The A Side starts with “New Follow” a trippy chicagoesque morphing House track rolling all over, steadily growing behind the hypnotic voice and the pushing bass figure in darkened acid landscapes. This one features Felipe Valenzuela (Cadenza) from Chile and is the result of a long night in Woodys studio in Berlin! On the flip Woody himself proves that he’s still on fire with the soulful-dubby-technoid-deep-funky flavourish upbuilding “Let it work” guaranteeing waves of excitement on the floors. B2 is called “” and was done by the Chilean duo Felipe Valenzuela, Dani Casarano and Woody. It is no secret that often the B2 tracks are the true gems, this 12” is no exception. Reduced dubby Tech House in finest manner, accentuated on every clap and grooving all over!

Returning to Items & Things with his first solo EP for the label since October 2011ʼs “VoodooVoodoo”, label head Troy Pierce presents “Softcore”, a four track EP featuring two original productions alongside remixes of title track “Softcore” from Bristol-based producer Dubspeeka and French DJ/producer Chloé.

A pioneer of the darker side of electronic experimentation, Troy’s A-side “Softcore” is anything but: a haunting, chugging peak-time production with a music DNA consisting of twisted strands of EBM, techno, and industrial, with a hint of dub thrown in for good measure. B-side “The Dangers With Strangers” is an equally powerful effort; its depraved machine funk and distorted tales of strangers provide a visceral exploration into the depths of hedonism.

Having debuted with a release on Oliver Huntemannʼs Ideal Audio label, elusive Bristol producer Dubspeeka (perhaps more famously known as one part of British group Kosheen) delivers a stripped down yet driven interpretation of Troy’s original, reinforcing the reasons why his productions have been exciting a number of the techno elite over the past year. Chloé - a recent addition to the Items & Things Booking Agency - needs little introduction. Typically poised between genres and aesthetics, the Kill The DJ founder and ex-Pulp resident rounds off proceedings with a remix that is as atmospheric as it is club-suitable, a reflection of her unique eclecticism that couldn’t be more at home than with Items & Things.

Blow-up new single from TROY PIERCE + remixes by BERG NIXON and MATT JOHN
TROY PIERCE (aka Louderbach, Slacknoise and one third of Run Stop Restore with Magda and Marc Houle) unleashes one of the year’s most anticipated tracks with ’25 BITCHES’. The original track goes back a while, coming into creation as a joke composed while stuck waiting in an airport. Not like humor is never ever a part of Troy’s music or persona, ’25 Bitches’ has been knocking down doors in his and fellow DJ’s sets like Magda and Richie Hawtin since last fall. Pierce’s bass-heavy mix starts off full of dark ghosts, working into a dub bassline and surgical mix of effects and vocals.

Remixers for Volume I stepped up to the challenge with steam and force. Detroit’s BERG NIXON moves two ships in the night, colliding his vibes in the razor-sharp edit on side A that swells and ping’s while shifting to his more melodic and animated B side version with Berg’s ‘ZigZag remix’. MATT JOHN hits the chip from Berlin with his ’25 Pitches’ remix. Matt slices thru the bassline by creating a new intimate close-up version with a monotone pulse and subtle sneak-attack. Both remixers deliver the energy for DJ’s and dancefloors while also working in subtleties for deeper listening.

Imagine the following arrangement: Jamaica sways somewhere in orbit. Instead of palm trees, the landscape is lined with giant, autumn-ish red-drenched wine leaves, Kafka and Nietzsche liberally conduct a fencing duel, in tattered trouser suits, at 5 o’clock in the morning on the beach. Meanwhile the sustenance – fresh caught fish - roast over an open fire. In the background mountain ranges cut a swath out of the fog and clouds, as animals in a procreative heat make feral sounds out of a world of mammals and plumage in the expansive flow. In the middle of this landscape, a gardening duo has additional fields that beg the cultivation of wighnomic bread.
