The brainchild of American DJ/label owner Ron G and Canadian producer/DJ/vocalist ill-esha, True Score was founded in 2009. After over a decade touring and releasing music in various projects, Vancouver-born ill-esha was ready to launch a vehicle to spread the wondrous beats she was hearing and making with talented producers from across the globe. With previous releases on Breakbeat Science, Outsider, Intrinsic and BluSaphir (whose release of TheEgo, DJ Roots and ill-esha hit #1 on the singles chart at junodownload.com), ill-esha was excited to support the creation of a new and innovative label. Ron G had achieved a solid following for his D&B label, Nemcron Recordings, and was ready to support the flourishing dubstep scene by releasing quality tunes from artists both new and established.
