I love all types of music and most definitely have an open mind when it comes to music but my roots or the main genres that i usually listen to are classic rock, 90's alternative/grunge, heavy metal, old school and underground hip hop, west coast gangster rap. I never pictured myself dabbling in the world of house music. In fact, if you would have told me even 5 years ago that id be spinning house then I would have laughed at you. Back in the day i had no respect for electronic music whatsoever. I used to think that dj's were just up there turning knobs, little did i know how terribly mistaken i was and how far that was from the truth! I picked up dj'ing about 9 months ago more or less as a little side hobby. A high school buddy of mine owns a club thats a local house/techno venue so naturally i started going to shows every now and then and thats what sparked something in me. I loved the music, the crowd, and most of all the vibes. Everyone is always so chill and knew i had to become a part of that. I knew that i was capable of putting out that vibe and helping people escape for an hour or so via house music. Ever since then ive consumed myself with house music. Not only that but i have a couple of decades of music that i needed to catch up on so i didnt really have much of a choice lol. This dj stuff takes up pretty much all of my spare time. I even started learning how to play the piano and started dipping my feet into production. Im still a bit insecure about my skills but its all of the positive feedback and constructive criticism from other dj's that ive been getting from people thats kept driving me forward. I still have a VERY long ways to go and many more hours of practice that i need to put in but its all good tho because its a fun process at the same time. I personally want to thank each and every one of you that takes the time out of your busy world to stop an listen to my mixes even if its just for a few minutes.
