I know is not a robot, but the Japanese during WW2 used air balloons with bombs attached and floated them thru the Pacific airstream to land in the US. it actually killed some people in Oregon.

I think any kind of armed and self-guided machine, especially replacing cops or soldiers, would be incredibly dangerous because any kind of armed situation necessarily requires some level of like, judgement or situational awareness that machines cannot currently replicate.
