Biography: Truebody
I am a Jozi Girl Born and raised. I grew up with the Blues and Pink Floyd and learned to sing in my baby-seat in the back of the car on long family road trips. I attended Michael Mount (known as the Hippy School) where a spent pre-school roaming around the playground belting out Disney songs. In high school I took an interest in the dramatic arts and poetry and discovered a love for writing. I also started recording and featured on a few tracks with friends and acquaintances. When I matriculated. I began experimenting with different genres and styles of writing and I was signed to a label but made the decision to leave and follow my heart when I realized the potential in what was at first a fun pass time project that Nick Heaton (my friend/producer) and I had been working on. This became my main priority and we spent two years in the studio just writing and recording one song after another, I always say Nick Heaton taught me everything I know. In 2015 I worked on a collaboration with DJ Sean Taylor that was signed by Universal and sold in Musica and on iTunes. I am also as of 2019 an Academy of Sound Engineering Graduate.
