March of the Life Guards Semyonovsky Regiment.  The regiment was formed by Emperor Peter I on May 25, 1683 in the village of Semyonovsky near Moscow. Since 1695 they began to be called the Semyonovsky Regiment, in the same year - the Life Guards Semyonovsky Regiment. The regiment was an active participant of the First World War. In particular, it fought during the Warsaw-Ivangorod operation in 1914, the Czestochowa-Krakow operation in 1914 and the Battle of Lublin-Holm in July 1915. He fought in the Vilna operation in August-September 1915. In the Russian Civil War, the Semyonovsky Regiment was the most hated of the entire Russian Imperial Army for the Soviet authorities. Why? The Semyonovsky Regiment was one of the first to declare itself a supporter of the new government. The Semyonovs decided to be renamed the 3rd Petrograd City Guard named after Uritsky (there was such a Chekist). At first, the regiment served in the old way. No innovations were carried out there. But then began "reforms", which may have been the cause of future discontent with the new government. It all started with the uniform - soldiers were forced to remove blue buttonholes. Purges of the regiment from the "unnecessary element" began. Then the regiment was even thrown to the defense of Petrograd from the White units. But the Semyonovs only managed to reach the village of Vyra near the Warsaw-Petersburg railroad. After moving away from Petrograd the personnel killed all the commissars and communists in their ranks, and after organizing a ceremonial march to the sound of the orchestra and went to the side of the White Army. The regiment was given back its old name and insignia without having to distribute it to other units.

Отойдя от Петрограда личный состав расправился со всеми комиссарами и коммунистами в своих рядах, а после устроив церемониальный марш под звуки оркестра и перешел на сторону Белой армии. Полку вернули старое название и знаки различия не став распределять его по другим подразделениям.

He entered history with the nickname "White General" (Ak-paşa) - so he was called in the army for his appearance in battles in a white uniform and on a white horse. March of the Lithuanian Life Guards Regiment. One of the most famous regiments of the Russian army. It was formed in November 1811 with 3 battalions, was a part of the Guards Infantry Division with the addition of natives of the Kingdom of Poland from other regiments. On the Guards badge, unlike other Guards regiments, on the shield at the double-headed eagle instead of George the Victorious placed the ancient coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. He took part in the Patriotic War of 1812. He received his baptism of fire at the Battle of Borodino, having distinguished himself in repulsing an attack of French cuirassiers and the defense of the heights near the Semyonovsky ravine. M. I. Kutuzov noted that in the battle of Borodino the Lithuanian and Izmailovo Life Guards regiments "...covered themselves with glory in the sight of the whole army...". "As part of the Russian Guards regiment participated in the battle of Maloyaroslavets and the pursuit of the French. For courage and heroism all battalions of the regiment in 1813 were awarded with St. George's banners with the inscription: "For distinction in the defeat and expulsion of the enemy from the borders of Russia in 1812". During the foreign campaign of the Russian army in 1813 the regiment participated in the battles of Lutzen, Bautzen, Dresden, Leipzig and the battle of Kulm.

March of the Grodno Hussar Regiment. The Grodno Hussar Regiment was formed for the Separate Lithuanian Corps on the rights of the Young Guard in Sedlec (Poland) in 1824 from Poles who served in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Hussar and Lithuanian Lancer Divisions in 4 squadrons and a foot reserve. 06.12.1831 the regiment was granted the rights of the old guard for distinction in the Polish campaign (17.11.1830-09.10.1831). Before the Grodno Hussar Regiment was created in Russia there was Grodno Hussar Regiment, renamed 17.02.1824 in Klyastitsy Hussar Regiment. The lower ranks of the regiment were composed of brunettes with small beards. The general regimental suit of horses was caracow (the trumpeters had no marks). The colors were differentiated by squadrons: 1st squadron - pure karak, 2nd squadron - white-footed karak, 3rd squadron - white-footed karak with a star, 4th squadron - those that did not fit into other squadrons, 5th squadron - light-carak, 6th squadron - white-footed karak with a star and markings.

May 1918 - the active regiment was disbanded. Order of the Commissariat for Military Affairs of the Petrograd Labor Commune No. 82 of May 21, 1918.
Revived in the Don Army. Of the officers of the regiment 27 participated in the re-establishment of the regiment on the Don. It was part of the 2nd Don Rifle Brigade. On 5.10.1919 it had 828 bayonets and 45 machine guns. In the Russian Army from 08.1920 it was a company in the 2nd Battalion of the Consolidated Guards Infantry Regiment. Lost 17 officers in the White Movement (53 in the World War). The regimental association in exile by 1932 numbered 74, by 1951 - 32 men. From the 1920s to 1963 it published on the rotator the informational leaflet "The Finnish" (42 issues were published) and in 1956 issued a jubilee collection (116 pages).
"God did not let Russia finish the war. The Finnish Regiment did not return to its homeland, - to dear St. Petersburg, to its Vasilyevsky Island, to its old barracks..... God did not grant the regiment the happiness to pass by the Sovereign Leader and the august Chief with the St. George banner flying victoriously, to the sound of its regimental march. But with God's help the day will come when at the Smolensk cemetery over the common mass grave of fellow regiment members a solemn requiem will be served by the ranks of the revived regiment and a monument will be erected to those who fell heroically for the Faith, Tsar and Fatherland, increasing the Glory of the native Regiment".

March "The Battle of Liaoyang". The Battle of Liaoyang is a major battle of the Russo-Japanese War. As a result of the Battle of Liaoyang, the Russian army lost 531 officers (including 7 generals), 95 of them killed (including 2 generals (Major-General Martson L. V. and Major-General Rutkovsky I. S.) and 2 regimental commanders) and 16,493 privates and non-commissioned officers, less than three thousand of them killed. The Japanese losses amounted to about 12 thousand dead // Сражение при Ляояне — крупное сражение русско-японской войны. В результате Ляоянского сражения русская армия потеряла 531 офицера (в том числе 7 генералов), из них убитыми 95 человек (в том числе 2 генерала (генерал-майор Мартсон Л. Jaegers (hunters) appeared in Russia under Rumyantsev. Noticing during the Seven Years' War the benefit that brought the Prussians hunters (gamekeepers), he during the operation at Colberg in 1761 formed a special battalion of hunters, which, although not called a gamekeeper, but by the nature of the activity corresponded to this name. The battalion was divided into five companies of 100 men each and for greater stability he was given two guns.

The equipment of the huntsmen was the lightest: instead of swords, bayonets were put in their portoupés; heavy grenadier bags were replaced by light musketeer bags, tents were taken away, galloons were sporotized from hats, and cloaks were left only for those who wished to wear them. Each hunter (gamekeeper) was provided with a schnobzak (sack) for three days' food. For actions it was ordered to choose places "the most convenient and avantage, in forests, villages, on passes"; "in ambuscades (ambushes) to lie quietly and keep silence, always having patrols on foot, in front and on the sides". Huntsmen also served to support the actions of light cavalry. They existed in the Russian Imperial Army in the period from the beginning of the Napoleonic Wars to 1833-1834.

March of the 17th Nizhny Novgorod Dragoon Regiment, one of the two most honored regiments of the Russian armed forces. The regiment was formed on September 8, 1701 by Novgorod voivode Apraksin, with 10 companies, under the name of the dragoon Morelia regiment. After formation, the regiment was assigned to Apraksin's corps and took part in the Northern War the following year. Having received a baptism of fire on August 13, 1702 at Dudergofskaya manor, the regiment was at the conquest of Ingermanland and participated in 1704 in the siege of Narva. The next years of the war (1705-1709) were spent in continuous campaigns, raids and numerous skirmishes with the Swedes in Lithuania and Ukraine. Of significant affairs the regiment had to take part in the battles of Kalish, Golovchina and Lesnaya. In 1703 a grenadier company was formed at the regiment, and in 1705 the regiment was named Colonel Shomburg's dragoon regiment.
On March 10, 1708 the regiment was named Nizhny Novgorod dragoon regiment; on January 23, 1709 the grenadier company was taken away to form Andrei Kropotov's grenadier dragoon regiment.
At the Battle of Poltava, June 27, 1709, the Nizhny Novgorodians were in Baur's detachment and participated in a cavalry battle, during which the regiment's kaptenarmus, Abram Antonov, repulsed a Swedish banner.
During the Prut campaign of 1711 the Nizhny Novgorodians, being in the detachment of General Renne, were sent to Brailov and took the fortress by storm. In 1716 the Nizhny Novgorod regiment was assigned to the Pomeranian corps and stayed in Mecklenburg and Pomerania for about two years.
During the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878. The 2nd division of the Nizhny Novgorod regiment under the command of Major Kerim-Bek Novruzov defeated a 4 thousand Turkish detachment in a night battle on May 18, 1877 near Begli-Ahmet, captured 2 guns with 4 loading boxes and two banners.
On October 2, 1877, the 3rd squadron, under the command of Major A. Witte, sent for reconnaissance, was cut off on the Orlovsky heights by six tabor Turkish infantry, but, despite the disproportion of forces, broke through the enemy.
At the defeat of the Turks on the Aladzhin Heights, the Nizhny Novgorod Regiment attacked the Vizinkevsky lunette on October 3 in a mounted formation and, occupying it, captured one banner, 5 guns and about 1,000 prisoners.
Then the regiment participated in the battles at Zivin, at Bulany, Kizil-Tapa and Hassan-Kala.
For the Turkish War Nizhny Novgorod Regiment, which already had all the combat awards, on November 26, 1878, the Highest granted wide St. George ribbons on the standard with the inscription to the 1st division - "For the battle of October 2 and 3, 1877 on the Aladzhinskie heights" and the 2nd division - "For the affairs at Begli-Ahmet May 18 and on the Orlovskie heights on October 2, 1877". 6 officers were awarded the Order of St. George, 4th degree, and 150 lower ranks received insignia of the Military Order.

"The Taking of Paris" March. On March 19 (31), 1814, Russian troops led by Emperor Alexander I triumphantly entered Paris. The capture of the French capital was the final battle of the Napoleonic campaign of 1814, after which the French Emperor Napoleon I Bonaparte abdicated the throne.

Defeated at Leipzig in October 1813, Napoleon's army could no longer offer serious resistance. In early 1814, Allied forces, consisting of Russian, Austrian, Prussian and German corps, invaded France to overthrow the French emperor. The Russian Guard, led by Emperor Alexander I, entered France from the Swiss side, near Basel. The Allies attacked with two separate armies: the Russian-Prussian Silesian Army was led by Prussian Field Marshal G. L. von Blucher, and the Russian-German-Austrian Army was placed under the command of Austrian Field Marshal C. F. zu Schwarzenberg.

In battles in France, Napoleon won victories more often than the Allies, but none of them became decisive because of the numerical superiority of the enemy. At the end of March 1814, the French emperor decided to march to the northeastern fortresses on the border of France, where he hoped to break the blockade of enemy troops, release the French garrisons, and, strengthening his army, to force the Allies to retreat, threatening their rear communications.  However, the Allied monarchs, contrary to Napoleon's expectations, approved the plan of attack on Paris on March 12 (24), 1814.

On March 17 (29), the Allied armies approached the front line of Paris' defenses. The city at that time had up to 500 thousand inhabitants and was well fortified. The defense of the French capital was led by Marshals E. A. C. Mortier, B. A. J. de Moncey and O. F. L. V. de Marmont. The supreme commander of the defense of the city was Napoleon's older brother, Joseph Bonaparte. The Allied forces consisted of three main columns: the right (Russian-Prussian) army was led by Field Marshal Blucher, the central column was led by Russian General M. B. Barclay de Tolly, and the left column was led by the Crown Prince of Württemberg. The battle for Paris was one of the bloodiest battles for the Allied forces, who lost more than 8 thousand soldiers in one day, 6 thousand of whom were soldiers of the Russian army.

The offensive began on March 18 (30) at 6 am. At 11 a.m. Prussian troops with the corps of M. S. Vorontsov approached the fortified village of Lavilette, and the Russian corps of General A. F. Langeron began the attack on Montmartre. Seeing from Montmartre the gigantic size of the advancing troops, the commander of the French defense Joseph Bonaparte left the battlefield, leaving Marmont and Mortier the authority to surrender Paris.

During March 18 (30), all the suburbs of the French capital were occupied by the Allies. Seeing that the fall of the city was inevitable and trying to reduce losses, Marshal Marmont sent a parliamentarian to the Russian Emperor. However, Alexander I gave a tough ultimatum to surrender the city under the threat of its destruction.

On March 19 (31) at 2 a.m. the surrender of Paris was signed. By 7 a.m., according to the terms of the agreement, the French regular army had to leave Paris. At noon, the Russian Guard, led by Emperor Alexander I, solemnly entered the French capital.

March of the Izmailovsky Regiment. It was the third infantry regiment of the Russian Guards and owed its foundation to Empress Anna Ioannovna. The regiment was formed in Moscow on September 22, 1730. It received its name from the Empress's favorite summer residence in the village of Izmailovo (now within the city limits of Moscow), which had long belonged to the Romanov family. In 1731 the first two battalions (commander - Major Shipov), and in 1734 - the third battalion (commander - Lieutenant Colonel Jacob von Keith) were transferred from Moscow to St. Petersburg and settled down in the houses of commoners on Admiralteysky and St. Petersburg islands.
Since 1743 the regiment was stationed in one place, in the newly built regimental sloboda in wooden houses, where the streets were called companies, and since 1808 in stone barracks. The beginning of the construction of stone barracks - 1799. The first to be built were barracks Nos. 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, called Barshchovsky, then Nos. 3, 11 and 12, Komarovsky and finally Nos. 2, 4 and 5 Kommittee. Officers from that time onward were housed near Izmailovsky Bridge in the state house of Garnovsky.
On August 26 (September 7), 1812 the Battle of Borodino took place, in which the regiment took part. Irrecoverable losses of the regiment, killed: 4 officers; 176 lower ranks, missing 73. Wounded: regiment commander, 13 officers, 528 lower ranks.

По старшинству он являлся третьим пехотным полком русской гвардии и обязан своим основанием императрице Анне Иоанновне. Полк сформирован в Москве 22 сентября 1730 года. Наименование получил от любимой императрицей летней резиденции в селе Измайлово (ныне в черте города Москвы), принадлежавшем издавна роду Романовых. В 1731 году первые два батальона (командир — майор Шипов), а в 1734 году — третий батальон (командир — подполковник Якоб фон Кейт) переведены из Москвы в Санкт-Петербург и расположились постоем по обывательским домам на Адмиралтейском и Петербургском островах.
С 1743 года полк размещался в одном месте, во вновь выстроенной полковой слободе в деревянных домах, где улицы назывались ротами, а с 1808 года в каменных казармах. Начало строительства каменных казарм — 1799 год. Первыми выстроены казармы № 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, называемые Барщовскими, потом № 3, 11 и 12, Комаровского и наконец № 2, 4 и 5 Комитетские. Офицеры с того времени размещались у Измайловского моста в казённом доме Гарновского.
26 августа (7 сентября) 1812 года состоялось Бородинское сражение в котором принимал участия полк. Безвозвратные потери полка, убито: 4 офицера; 176 нижних чинов, без вести пропавших 73. Ранено: командир полка, 13 офицеров, 528 нижних чинов.
