Back with his second EP on Truesoul after his impressive Kilimanjaro EP, dubspeeka has tossed out more attitude with his new Noise EP. Keeping in the similar dubspeeka trend, his Noise EP is dark and moody with interesting twists and turns to give this serious character. From the distorted Drums of ‘Noise’ to the melodic synth line of ‘Usk’ dubspeeka has delivered an outstanding piece of work that should be commended with the highest honour. The preciseness of his synths and vocal swirls separate this from other projects and shows the class and enigma that dubspeeka is capable of.

Field Records is to release a two-CD compilation of music from the label's artists old and new entitled simply, Collection. 

The first of three samplers features Acronym, Ben Buitendijk and Voiski. Acronym's track '16 Cygni' is a sci-fi bit of techno that is speedy, slick and intergalactic, whilst Ben Buitendijk offers up some Millsian, streamlined techno urgency with his 'Colourblind' and finally Voiski gets all elastic and industrial tinged with his whip lashing effort.

<p>The boys return to Phobiq with all guns blazing, and the title track stomps through the door with no mercy as monstrous, familiar chords touch down in style and cavernous effects provide the perfect backdrop for the hypnotic vocal. &#8220;Away From Here&#8221; opts for an even more streamlined approach as commanding synth stabs evolve and mutate, while distant diva snippets add to the thick atmosphere. Closing up, the Dub Mix of &#8220;Behind Closed Doors&#8221; serves as an alternate plan of action.</p>

<p>Effenem return to phobiq with a full release, presenting four slices of futuristic Techno. The stomping title track kicks things off, boasting looped-out vocals and the most menacing of stabs. &#8220;Nyx&#8221; continues in the same vein, relying heavily on the riffs and acting as the perfect precursor to &#8220;Nortia&#8221; where we are treated to haunting synths but with a more stripped-down approach. Closing up, &#8220;Phyxis&#8221; pushes the melodic overtones even further, with sneaky electronics interlaced throughout the clever arrangement.</p>
