Over the last 3 years Shall Ocin has been on a roll with some huge productions, culminating in him becoming a highly valued member of Maceo Plex’s Ellum Audio stable. Not only is his productions filled with laser precision engineering, but his melodies draw inspiration from a subconscious space which only a lucky few inhabit. (Check the busy, care-free structure on ‘Tribute to Summertime’, or the almost stern-like melodic charge of 'Forgive Me’)   Recently the producer made headlines with the launch of his brand new label Clash Lion, anticipation stretched to its limits due to the debut track which featured the return of Maetrik (ICYDK who that is, it’s Maceo Plex’s highly popular techno alter ego). It's the middle of summer now. What were you up to this time last year? Whoever read this text most probably let out a big sigh, as they were either wallowing in sand or were planning to. What are we up to now? To what extent do you not come to terms with the new normal, what do you hope for, do you want everything to be the same, or do you think nothing will ever be the same? @tubeandberger agreeing to mix a set for us would have been a little unexpected in the reality we used to have before, but now it’s so very appropriate and expected that we only have to relax and enjoy the ride. And no matter how much we miss last summer, we should try to live the life we have today to the fullest. Cheers~
