I can picture this track accompanying a relaxed section of an RPG or similar game. It makes me think of an outdoor location and possibly somewhere the characters have their downtime in between fighting and adventuring, hence the rather uninspired title of 'Village'.

Village

This is an attempt to create something suitable for a game menu. My idea was to write a piece that could cycle continually (such as for a character creation screen, a pause menu, or anything similar) without being too repetitive; that's why I've made use of a lot of major seventh chords and a modal progression to try to keep a sense of freshness whilst maintaining a repetitive overall feel.

RandR

This is an attempt to make use of very clearly synthetic sounds to evoke a particular mood. I wanted the piece to sound calm but not in a cheerful way; I've tried to generate a sense of unease through the heavily-filtered synths. Harmonically there's a movement between a dorian mode theme and the phrygian dominant for some solo sections which generate a bit of melodic interest when the theme is getting too repetitive. I can see this music accompanying a menu selection for a futuristic game, hence the Syndicate screenshot I've chosen to accompany it.
