At age 20, Marquell “Trukellz” Jefferson has taken the underground music market by storm. With an overwhelming online presence, Trukellz proves that an artist independent of a major label can become successful. Born in Los Angeles, Trukellz discovered his passion for music at age 9, he then went on to record his first song at Actor/Rapper Will Smith’s home at age 14. Trukellz began writing his own songs at age 11 with his stepfather and grandmother serving as inspiration. Trukellz is currently working with Ivy League Productions, Multi- Platinum Producer Timothy Bullock who is notable for work with artists such as Trey Songz, Chris Brown, and Ludacris. Trukellz has long term goals of creating his own lane that will inspire other artists to do the same as well as extend his artistry beyond the U.S. market. Trukellz talent has not only impressed everyone he works with, but he has established a solid, growing fan base. With support from former Hip Hop artists, Trukellz will be a force to be reckoned with in the Hip Hop Industry as an Independent artist.  
 Trukellz describes his sound as one that is “universal”, he aspires to influence individuals across all genres of music. Trukellz states, “I try to capitalize on being a universal artist and not just a urban hip hop artist from south central. I hate the idea of limiting myself and being put in that box. I try to make good music for all ethnicities and not be bias to my own life. Unlike typical aspiring rappers, Trukellz understands the importance of speaking to those from the same struggle, and the influence of music on a larger scale. Trukellz sites his musical and creative influences as Kendrick Lamar, Wale, J Cole, and a personal friend favorite by the name of Sleeprock.   Trukellz presence in the entertainment industry will not be limited to music. With plans to expand his brand and transition into acting, as well as serve as a positive example in urban communities to future generations, Trukellz will leave an immense legacy in Hip Hop history and in the urban community.
