Phyr Records is the new label from Italy's Pyramidal Decode that has featured top artists like Takaaki Itoh, Dimi Angélis, PWCCA, and Oliver Rosemann, since launching in 2024. Now presenting a joint LP release with Oscar Mulero titled 'Il Poema,' this follows four albums already in just three years.

Oscar Mulero is known for his standout cyclical sound and running the PoleGroup and Warm Up imprints as well as contributing to influential labels like Kr!z’s Token and P.E.A.R.L.’s Falling Ethics.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Caronte" that's heady and twisted modular session. Bursts of frantic percussion combines with a clashing, bleeping symphony of analogue signals and sirens for an intense session with raw tool-like sound.

Nearly two years since their last release on Bade Records, and a year since their last original EP, Brothers Black return home to their London imprint with ‘Justify’, a focussed four track EP in their trademark style.

The brothers open the EP with ‘Long Way Back’, a rolling ambient piece combining distorted washing chords with spacey choral chords and space-age detailing. The title track ‘Justify’ follows, combining  heads-down, slamming percussion with vocal sampling from one of pop’s greatest legends. The third track, ‘Bloodhound’, is an effective, frantic tool that combines rolling percussion with an eerie lead and swirling strings. Finally, the brothers round off the EP with chained, a groove-orientated FM tool with sharp industrial stabs.

After being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's in Los Angeles, a teenage David Flores was hooked. He started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouse, backyard, desert, and rave circuit. His style then was as varied as the local scene - a myriad of sounds ranging from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years solely DJing, he began releasing original music under the monikers David F & Audio Injection, which landed him on labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track & LA label Droid Recordings. His association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 as resident at the now defunct yet infamous and internationally acclaimed Interface event series alongside Drumcell and Raiz. He currently runs a new event series together with Drumcell and Oktaform named “Observe”.

In early 2011, he started the project Truncate to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases early on gained critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, and many more. Since then, he has provided remixes for artists across the musical spectrum including Kink, Slam, Loco Dice, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Ellen Alien, Miss Kittin, Carl Cox & Nicole Moudaber. He has also released original works on 50 Weapons, Ultramajic, Blueprint, Ei8ht, Figure and of course his own imprint Truncate. He has also collaborated with Jimmy Edgar, Chambray and most recently started a new project with Ben Sims as ‘Assailants’ which they’ve released on their own imprint ‘Obscurity Is Infinite’.

A rigorous international tour schedule has since followed, including stops and regular appearances at the most prestigious venues and events, including Berghain in Berlin, Fabric in London, Concrete in Paris, The Movement Festival in Detroit, Womb in Tokyo, Dimensions Festival in Croatia, Awakenings in Amsterdam, Output in New York, and many more.

With his heavy remix, production and touring schedule there is still no slowing down for David. He continues to shape an evolving sound and to champion the Los Angeles underground.
