Petter B returns to his Bond imprint after some time away and the influential Swedish producer show his usual high quality and creative sound design ideas.

Known for his monstrous tracks for Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, Cari Lekebusch’s H-Productions, Developer’s Modularz and Dutch stable Planet Rhythm, he always puts together punchy works.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “Fear” with a complex concoction in its analogue makeup. A powerful, energetic and mechanical aesthetic has cyclical chopping sounds that provide the main underlying propulsion, while huge percussive cracks are met with shooting modular tones to add an interesting dystopian angle.

Octopus label boss Sian links up again with Chicago veteran Hiroko Yamamura for a lean and uncompromising techno masterpiece. The track pushes forward on a heavy, rolling low end, punctuated by tightly wound rhythms and vocal hook that nod to Yamamura’s Chicago lineage while staying true to Sian’s stripped, big-room sensibility.
There’s a rawness to the production that feels rooted in the tradition of functional, no-frills techno—music made for dancers, not playlists. Subtle acid inflections flicker beneath the surface, giving the track a restless edge without overwhelming its straightforward drive. Set You Free embodies the kind of peak-hour intensity that both artists have built their reputations on.

Angioma - Consumed

After being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's in Los Angeles, a teenage David Flores was hooked. He started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouse, backyard, desert, and rave circuit. His style then was as varied as the local scene - a myriad of sounds ranging from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years solely DJing, he began releasing original music under the monikers David F & Audio Injection, which landed him on labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track & LA label Droid Recordings. His association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 as resident at the now defunct yet infamous and internationally acclaimed Interface event series alongside Drumcell and Raiz. He currently runs a new event series together with Drumcell and Oktaform named “Observe”.

In early 2011, he started the project Truncate to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases early on gained critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, and many more. Since then, he has provided remixes for artists across the musical spectrum including Kink, Slam, Loco Dice, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Ellen Alien, Miss Kittin, Carl Cox & Nicole Moudaber. He has also released original works on 50 Weapons, Ultramajic, Blueprint, Ei8ht, Figure and of course his own imprint Truncate. He has also collaborated with Jimmy Edgar, Chambray and most recently started a new project with Ben Sims as ‘Assailants’ which they’ve released on their own imprint ‘Obscurity Is Infinite’.

A rigorous international tour schedule has since followed, including stops and regular appearances at the most prestigious venues and events, including Berghain in Berlin, Fabric in London, Concrete in Paris, The Movement Festival in Detroit, Womb in Tokyo, Dimensions Festival in Croatia, Awakenings in Amsterdam, Output in New York, and many more.

With his heavy remix, production and touring schedule there is still no slowing down for David. He continues to shape an evolving sound and to champion the Los Angeles underground.
