More than happy to share with you my new release on Skryptom !

Approx one month ago I took on Electric Rescue challenge to do and release this 4 track ep in 30 days!
It was such a hard challenge, while composing I went from euphoria to anxiety...
I usually take time producing tracks but I discovered that working under pressure can be gratifying and I'm very happy with the result!

For those who know me trough my releases, I always like to add some non techno element to my EPs, so, some hours before the deadline I decided to remix one of the track with my alias Derivative Of The Unconscious, it's the first time I'm releasing something with this alias making this project very special for me!

VARIA is pleased to present the next episode in its podcast series, featuring AgainstMe : it is a live recording from his opening set at SMUT Athens from his recent September 2025 gig.

AgainstMe is a Berlin-based Greek DJ, producer, live act resident of SMUT Athens and core member of USM Recordings.

Starting his musical journey at 17, his project AgainstMe was born from the raw energy of Lesvos rave scene in 2017. His sound blends hypnotic rhythms, deep atmospheres, and relentless energy, a reflection of his own inner evolution.

With releases on 47, NRBK, and Renegade Methodz, his music has earned support from DVS1, Ben Klock, Umwelt, Steve Bicknell, Rødhåd, and more.

He’s performed at iconic venues like Berghain (Säule), Tresor, Khidi, RSO, Fold, and Fuse, delivering powerful sets that merge intensity and emotion.

This episode continues VARIA’s mission: championing considered electronic expression and lasting artistry.

DUPØUY is a Venezuelan DJ and producer based in Chile, and co-founder of the TNGNT label. Rooted in rhythmic experimentation, his sound explores an 
architectural, raw, and mental approach to techno—defined by dense layers, hypnotic textures, and narratives that shift fluidly between atmospheric depth and 
sheer force.
His music has been released on international labels such as Diffuse Reality (Spain), Xelima (Argentina), Subhills (Japan), Panal (Chile), Co-ev (Argentina), 
Hardtools (Spain), Cumulonimbus (Germany), and Concepto Hipnótico
(Argentina). These releases have allowed his sound to travel beyond South America, resonating across various European scenes.
Within the Chilean underground, DUPØUY has become a recurring presence, performing at events and collectives such as Sehnsucht, Technoyouth, and 
DAME. With the latter, he took part in the official Tresor showcase—one of the most influential institutions in global techno—further solidifying his connection 
with the genre’s forward-thinking vanguard. In the booth, his focus lies in crafting high-voltage mental journeys, blending in 
multilayered structures and playing with evolving intensities to create a continuous flow of tension and release. Each set aims to immerse the audience fully, allowing 
sound to be experienced both physically and mentally.

Marking its 100th release, Hardtools Records celebrates a major milestone with "The Hollow Core," a 20-track LP by PWCCA that showcases the full breadth of his sonic identity. The record travels from hypnotic, sci-fi-infused techno built on tense atmospheres and evolving patterns to harder, raw cuts that embody the relentless spirit of the label. Each track opens a different dimension: metallic textures, driving grooves, dystopian soundscapes, and functional rhythms designed for the dancefloor. PWCCA delivers a body of work that distills his signature approach— rhythmic precision, heaviness, darkness, and an unwavering club-focused mindset. "The Hollow Core" stands as a long-form release that reflects years of evolution and sets the tone for the future of Hardtools Records.

Jëssï Zâspræ is an experimental eletronica producer from Southern California, deeply rooted in the raw, analog spirit of electronic music. His journey began in the early '90s in high school, when his passion for sound met the unwavering support of his parents. After saving half the cost for his first gear, they surprised him with a full setup RadioShack synths, DJ equipment, compressors, a Tascam DAT recorder, and the legendary Akai MPC 2000. This analog foundation became the backbone of his creative evolution.

Starting with East Coast-style hip-hop beats, Jëssï organically shifted into the world of electronic music, ultimately finding his voice in a electronica, synthwave with techno DNA. His sound explores a wide spectrum from raw, stripped-down to grooves to vibrant, shape-shifting sonic landscapes. Influenced by how he perceives the world through color, geometry, and reflective sound, his music isn’t just heard it’s felt.

Driven by the purity of the underground and a relentless curiosity for sonic exploration, Jëssï Zâspræ creates for the true lovers of Techno and the vast universe of electronica. Whether in a late-night warehouse or in your headphones, his music is a transmission from a world in motion.



After being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's in Los Angeles, a teenage David Flores was hooked. He started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouse, backyard, desert, and rave circuit. His style then was as varied as the local scene - a myriad of sounds ranging from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years solely DJing, he began releasing original music under the monikers David F & Audio Injection, which landed him on labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track & LA label Droid Recordings. His association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 as resident at the now defunct yet infamous and internationally acclaimed Interface event series alongside Drumcell and Raiz. He currently runs a new event series together with Drumcell and Oktaform named “Observe”.

In early 2011, he started the project Truncate to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases early on gained critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, and many more. Since then, he has provided remixes for artists across the musical spectrum including Kink, Slam, Loco Dice, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Ellen Alien, Miss Kittin, Carl Cox & Nicole Moudaber. He has also released original works on 50 Weapons, Ultramajic, Blueprint, Ei8ht, Figure and of course his own imprint Truncate. He has also collaborated with Jimmy Edgar, Chambray and most recently started a new project with Ben Sims as ‘Assailants’ which they’ve released on their own imprint ‘Obscurity Is Infinite’.

A rigorous international tour schedule has since followed, including stops and regular appearances at the most prestigious venues and events, including Berghain in Berlin, Fabric in London, Concrete in Paris, The Movement Festival in Detroit, Womb in Tokyo, Dimensions Festival in Croatia, Awakenings in Amsterdam, Output in New York, and many more.

With his heavy remix, production and touring schedule there is still no slowing down for David. He continues to shape an evolving sound and to champion the Los Angeles underground.
