Senoid, el sello del incombustible productor Kike Pravda, vuelve a luz con una referencia de techno profundo, directo y mental a cargo de su propio dueño.
Tras las dos primeras entregas con remixes de los consolidados Ben sims y Oscar Mulero, Kike completa un “EP” estrictamente en solitario para el tercer capítulo de la etiqueta.
“Density” es algo mas que es un simple título, es una declaración de intenciones que describe a la perfección el carácter del disco. El sonido cristalino y repetitivo de los “bleeps” crea la atmósfera de hipnosis perfecta. La aparición de los “claps” de 909 y un “pad” brillante elevan la profundidad única de este track.
“They” nos hace bajar unos cuantos metros bajo tierra y nos presenta un techno mas áspero con una mezcla de texturas que nos sumergen en un viaje a través del túnel.
“Organic” muestra la cara mas minimalista de Pravda, un “beat” constante que se filtra para dar forma a un iceberg de sonido, no son necesarios mas elementos. Material excepcional para mezclas largas y profundas.
La referencia acaba con “Exoplanet”, un viaje al espacio exterior en el que las cajas de ritmo de clásicas vuelven a tomar protagonismo en compañía de sonidos densos y metálicos que recorren este EP.

Senoid, is the label of the indefatigable producer Kike Pravda, it strikes back with a deep, direct and mental techno release by his owner.
After the first two chapters with remixes from the well recognized Ben Sims and Oscar Mulero, Kike comes back with a full EP on his own for third episode of the label.

“Density” is more than a simple title, it’s a statement of intentions that describes perfectly the character of the record. The crystalline and repetitive sound of the bleeps creates the perfect hypnosis atmosphere. The emergence of the 909 claps and a bright pad elevate the unique depth of this track.
“They” bring us some meters under the ground and presents us the rough side of techno, with a mix of textures that immerse us in trip through a tunnel.
“Organic” shows the minimalistic face from Pravda’s footprint, a constant beat filters to shape a sound iceberg, no more elements are needed. Exceptional material for long and deep mixes.
The release ends with “Exoplanet”, a journey to outer space in which the classic drum machines resumed their role with the company of dense and metallic sounds that characterize this EP.

Appearing on the 20 year anniversary compilation from Drumcode, Truncate remixed "Miss You" off of my album, "Monoliths." Most remixes these days are completely different tracks from the original with almost zero material from the original. However, I think David did a great job of basically using only the source material actually 'remix' into it a completely new techno banger. People have been asking for this one for over a year, and it now it will finally be available.

From Another Mind, the techno party and label from southern Germany, is putting out a pair of remix EPs in February. 

Version 004.1 and Version 004.2 are made of reworks of material that From Another Mind bosses SHDW and Obscure Shape have released across three EPs since launching the label in 2015. The lineup of remixers includes some of the biggest names in the business. Rødhåd leads off the first set, which also features James Ruskin, Dax J and Shlømo. Meanwhile, the second EP opens with a joint rework from Tale Of Us and Mind Against, with Inland, Ryan James Ford and Konstantin Sibold contributing as well. 

Both EPs will come on vinyl and digital formats, with separate cover artwork that's designed to sit next to each other.

Having initially released a pair of collaborative white labels featuring Lucy and Alex.Do over the last couple of years, Rødhåd’s imprint WSNWG notches up the pace with a vengeance in lieu of third instalment, foreshadowing another trio of joint EPs to be released throughout 2020 and including co-ops with Ø [Phase] (June), Daniel Avery (September) and Rene Wise (November). 

This also comes with the opening of a new chapter in Rødhåd’s career, as he will be starting to tour live in addition to his DJ sets, including dates at Berghain, Re-Textured Festival in London, Awakenings in Amsterdam; also joining forces with Sebastian Mullaert’s as part of his Circle Of Live project.

Borderless by essence, WSNWG’s aim is simple: showcase collaborations between Rødhåd and a variety of like-minded artists from various horizons, all recorded in the warm creative environment of his Berlin studio. ‘WSNWG003′ is the result of three sessions French techno stalwart Antigone and Rødhåd had in 2018 and 2019, with each of the tracks’ titles referring to the particular date it was made and recorded – understand ‘180702’ as 2nd of July 2018.

The journey starts off with the nostalgia-soaked, rolling punch of ‘180702.1’ – a number that justly epitomises both artists’ idiosyncrasies through a fine-tuned blender of near-classical emotional stir and gridlocked floor dynamics on a dubby tip. Delving further deep into post-industrial murk, its ‘.2’ counterpart casts a spell of veiled menace upon dancers and ravers through clanky assemblies of rattling drums, mirroring signals and brooding droney flights.
Flip it over and here’s ‘190709’ shifting the focus to breaks-heavy traction in powerful fashion. Riddled with mangled pep-talk samples, raucous machine howling and stuttering junglisms, the track spins in and out of orbit to entice the listener into a much physically demanding workout. Last but not least, no-nonsense floor-shredder ‘190904’ treats us to a brain-melting trip of fast-rotation synth loops, bleepy subs and fevered hi-hats that shall fit just right in the middle of any climactic buildup worthy of the name.

After being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's in Los Angeles, a teenage David Flores was hooked. He started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouse, backyard, desert, and rave circuit. His style then was as varied as the local scene - a myriad of sounds ranging from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years solely DJing, he began releasing original music under the monikers David F & Audio Injection, which landed him on labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track & LA label Droid Recordings. His association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 as resident at the now defunct yet infamous and internationally acclaimed Interface event series alongside Drumcell and Raiz. He currently runs a new event series together with Drumcell and Oktaform named “Observe”.

In early 2011, he started the project Truncate to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases early on gained critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, and many more. Since then, he has provided remixes for artists across the musical spectrum including Kink, Slam, Loco Dice, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Ellen Alien, Miss Kittin, Carl Cox & Nicole Moudaber. He has also released original works on 50 Weapons, Ultramajic, Blueprint, Ei8ht, Figure and of course his own imprint Truncate. He has also collaborated with Jimmy Edgar, Chambray and most recently started a new project with Ben Sims as ‘Assailants’ which they’ve released on their own imprint ‘Obscurity Is Infinite’.

A rigorous international tour schedule has since followed, including stops and regular appearances at the most prestigious venues and events, including Berghain in Berlin, Fabric in London, Concrete in Paris, The Movement Festival in Detroit, Womb in Tokyo, Dimensions Festival in Croatia, Awakenings in Amsterdam, Output in New York, and many more.

With his heavy remix, production and touring schedule there is still no slowing down for David. He continues to shape an evolving sound and to champion the Los Angeles underground.
