Trushmix 47: Balearic Gabba Sound System

After the stunning mix we got from Plastic Fantastic earlier this year we were over the moon to get a message saying he had another mix in the pipeline for us, this time it was a reworking of a tape originally put together back in 2002.

It perfectly captures that late 90's / early 00's cafe vibe that we love so much and like the last mix has been on repeat here since it arrived!

In John's own words...

"I recently found an old mixtape of mine, which, according to the hand-scribbled label, I compiled during the summer of 2002.  Aside from the questionable mixing, and the obvious track selections, I still found it to be a rather enjoyable listen. 

Having originally been recorded on tape, the sound quality was pretty dreadful after all these years, so I decided to re-record it, painstakingly recreating the mix as closely and as accurately as I could - Staying true to the original vibe, but with the added benefit of today's digital technology. I'm very pleased to share this mixtape with The Electric Disco. Hope you enjoy it!"
