Part of my 'Postcards from the Valleys' suite which will appear on the album 'Three Short Stories' later this year. This track was inspired by taking the bus from Abercynon to Aberdare the day after my grandfather's funeral and being shocked and saddened at the miles of devastation and boarded up buildings where I remember thriving Valleys communities before Thatcherism and the Miners' Strike. There is great sadness and anger but there is hope and beauty too.
