"When I first heard Menotti HiFi's "Yksi," I was blown away by the haunting melodies and intricate textures. I knew I had to put my own spin on it, with the goal of honouring the essence of the original while injecting my unique sonic signature. In the remix process, I carefully selected lush pads to provide a warm, enveloping foundation. I then added in some intricate rhythmic elements, weaving them together with a deft touch to create a sense of forward momentum and subtle complexity. Finally, I added in some atmospheric details to add depth and dimension to the overall experience. The result is a captivating downtempo interpretation that I hope will transport listeners to a realm of sonic exploration. It's my sincere hope that those who experience this remix will be as enthralled by the journey as I was in creating it."

Here to stay. We think that sums up the spirit of “echo & soul” pretty well. Carsten and Olli write music that, once it's in your ear, simply won't go away. Their new track “Infinity” is no different! And when you listen to it, you can't help but tap your foot, nod your head to the beat, and with your eyes closed, somehow wish that their new track would never end. Fortunately, there's also a remix of their new single by “Nil,” which luckily extends the journey into the ever-expanding sound universe of “echo & soul” a little longer. Maybe their discography, which now includes nine fine tunes, isn't infinite yet... but rest assured, they're working on it! Trust us.

Atwashere revisited another classic: Roberta Flack's tunes are always dope and definitely worth a listen - but this one became especially famous in 1996 as a blueprint for the Fugees song of the same name! After Atwashere recognized that Lauryn Hill has had performed Roberta's vocals on this rap cover, he wanted to edit the pristine version with the original voice and melody ... but as always with a little twist in tempo and style. Enjoy!

Trust in Wax is an artist collective and record label from Münster, Germany. We produce records, we play records. It’s really that simple. But above all else, we play good music. No matter what style. HipHop, Soul, Jungle, Reggae – you’re getting it, right?

It all started with some mash ups and special edits to nice up our own gigs. Now we are a proud presenter of numerous official releases. Our artists do remixes for label mates or even craft their very-own tunes.

Under Trust in Wax we run two sublabels so far. They may differ in style, but unite all the love and passion we have for heavy basslines, thick drums, dubby echoes and crispy vinyl crackles.

On 'Nice One' we present downbeat music whilst moving through to traditional HipHop styles. 'Antitype' is our latest extension. It focuses more on tunes that are mostly uptempo, sometimes electronical and often broken.

2024 marks our 25th anniversary celebrating two decades of Trust in Wax live events plus being in the record label games officially for five years now.
