Sandra Kolstad is originally trained as a classical pianist and was a student of Wolfgang Plagge amongst others. She now lives in Berlin and Oslo and is in the midst of the recordings of her debut album Crux (recorded and produced by Sandra Kolstad) which is scheduled for a release on April 29.

Her pop music explores the balance between electronic and organic elements as well as mixing a classic British modesty with an intensely soulful presence. The outcome is hard-hitting, rhythmic and flirtatious compositions, all relating to her primary sources of inspiration, gospel and soul.

LOCATION AND OWNER
Trust Me Records is located in Oslo, Norway and is set up and run by Marit Karlsen. Indeed an one woman operation. Her background is in the fields of music journalism, much noted for her radio shows (1993 – 2003) on Norway’s equivalent of BBC Radio 1, NRK P3. Next to Trust Me, Karlsen is programming seminars for by:Larm, Scandinavia’s largest music conference. You’ll also find her on various boards in the music business. In addition to that, Karlsen is a freelancer in the world of sports, writing about running and cross country skiing.
