Love ain`t easy. Sometimes it even takes hostages. Inspired by this perception Cesare vs Disorder and Dave Vega have produced four tracks that are coming out now on their Love Takes Hostages EP. For their prelude, Mindless digs deep into the ear canal and creates a nearly threatening vibe with synths weighing heavy like the night.With a humming, pushing groove, the title track Love Takes Hostages then sets in with the psychedelic effect of drifted vocals and particles of tones. On The Beauty and The Beast, they apply themselves to their interpretation of the classic tale. The melancholic piano sets a distinct course. Directly to the point, the beats juxtapose the thick mist of playful sounds. Lastly, Worldwide, the fourth track on this EP conjures its high in a coppice of wafting rhythms and noises.

TRUST XV is a three-part 12" compilation series, featuring tracks by all TRUST artists, full color printed sleeves by dextro.org, and a short science fiction story, chronicling the fate of an interstellar mining operation on 61 cygnus e.

part one, TRUST XV-I, will be released in mid may 2014 and consists of four new and exclusive tracks by vc-118a, matti turunen, clatterbox and lok44. 

upcoming parts two and three will include tracks by dj stingray, dez williams, dj glow, the exaltics, microthol, plant43, adapta, scape one, epy and biepang.

Arkajo is back on his own label with two originals and two remixes by kindred spirits, Polygonia and Konduku. Starting with the warm Entwine, stepped-out beats laced with swirly stabs. Polygonia's finishes off the A-side with an organic and atmospheric rework; saturated in deep, trippy, rattling tonally percussive flows.
Arkajo's Signature leads the B-side: broken drum patterns with whispers from the realm between where Sweden and the UK meet. Konduku settles the score with his dark and eerie 4x4 techno take. A diverse record to keep in the bag for both hazy basements and the upcoming summer season.

He watched as the magnificent creature reared itself upward from its slumber. It was vast and tall – its shadow casting darkness on the space it left beneath.

It arched its spine, balancing precariously on two feet yet continuing to remain graceful throughout.

The night was young but the beast would stalk the land until the return of the sunlight in the morning. Its presence was enough to cause a shiver – those who had met it would not forget.

The clouds hung thick overhead, ominously so.

Subsai & AOS13 team up for a killer EP on Inshi. The Ukranian duo channel early influences, reimagining Trip Hop and doing so in the best way. This one has us feeling all sorts of moods.

Luxus Varta comes to Specimen Records with Magnetic EP, dropping six new tracks of intelligent and intricate electro.

With a discography spanning respected labels Solar One Music, Brokntoys, Trust, Klakson, and his own imprint, In Abstracto, Luxus Varta has solidified his reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in the electro scene. This release demonstrates further his knack for constructing complex, evocative tracks that work for the deep and dark dancefloor moments.

The EP opens with the deep, brooding bass of title track, Magnetic, setting a moody and immersive tone. It then shifts into the off-kilter machine funk of Broken Tube, before leading into the sharp electro beats of Gelatin 55. Colour Splitter continues the journey on the EP with a dense, atmospheric composition rich in sound design, followed by Post-Mortem Meeting which is another perfect example of Luxus Varta’s melancholic overtones. The release closes out with Linoleum, dense with layered synth work and driven by shuffling beats.

DJ Fin Tankard, UK-born and based, is an electro DJ, producer and fan who pays homage to the old school while keeping one eye fixed on contemporary influences, creating drum-machine driven electro that hits hard without moving too far from the roots of the genre, or the sci-fi sound-design tropes that’ll make you smile a little in the middle of the dancefloor.

Alongside his solo projects, Fin makes up 1/2 of SETI Code alongside German producer CA9, who are set for multiple releases in 2025, beginning with an EP on UK-outfit Crazed Behaviour.

De l’autre, l’univers sombre et cinématographique d’EKATA, résidente londonienne et exploratrice de grooves dystopiques inspirés par la science-fiction. Ces deux trajectoires distinctes convergent sur le split EP signé par le label rennais Ethos Records, attendu pour le 27 juin.

À travers quatre morceaux, deux par artiste, le split met en lumière des interprétations singulières de l’électro : Commuter livre des pièces où des mélodies acérées et des rythmes impeccables dialoguent avec des influences new wave et EBM. EKATA, quant à elle, nous emmène dans un récit sonore immersif, porté par des basses abyssales et des synthés angoissants.

Ce split EP, à la croisée des époques et des sensibilités, est une ode à la richesse intemporelle de l’électro.

On one side, the retro-futuristic elegance of Commuter, nourished by the first vibrations of electro and a fascination for Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. On the other, the dark, cinematic world of EKATA, a London resident and explorer of dystopian grooves inspired by science fiction. These two distinct trajectories converge on the split EP signed to Rennes-based label Ethos Records, due out on 27 June.

The project features four tracks, two from each artist, highlighting singular interpretations of electro: Commuter delivers pieces where sharp melodies and impeccable rhythms dialogue with new wave and EBM influences. EKATA, for her part, takes us on an immersive sonic journey, driven by abyssal bass and eerie synths.

A twisted and acerbic collision of breaks, electro and UK rave. 'Cruising' has alarm sounds and blistering synth textures running through saw-tooth bass and big breaks. 'PIGMENTOR' is all acidic and chuggy while 'The Looper" is heads down, feet marching electro-techno. 'Good Bye' brings some electrified disco futurism to the party for a more colourful and outwardly expressive closer.
