Argentinian DJ and producer, Jerëmie., makes his welcome return to Pirate Copy’s Kaluki Musik with a brand-new EP, teaming up with vocalist Cami Jones on lead track ‘Deja Vu' and an exciting remix from Sante Sansone to complete the package.

Jerëmie.’s passion for music started at an early age, following in the footsteps of his super talented family who are all famous musicians themselves. Attracted by the Deep, Minimal, Tech House sounds, Jerëmie. started out DJing in 2008, followed closely by producing and making his own tunes shortly after and going on to receive the support of AAA artists including wAFF, Marco Carola, Richy Ahmed and Luciano. 

The ‘Deja Vu' EP offers two dancefloor groovers fresh out the studio, showcasing Jerëmie.’s distinctive sound combined with hypnotic drum patterns, exciting synth transitions, bubbling basslines, captivating vocals and grooving low-end throughout. Once again, we meet on the warm sunny beaches of Miami for another spring, another round and another set. This year’s compilation comes at the hand of one of Get Physicals’ latest inductees, American up-and-comer, m.O.N.R.O.E., who delivers a great set of hot and bouncy tech-house tracks. The journey starts with Daniel Dubbs ‘Steel Trap’, who effortlessly takes the lead and clears a sonic path with rhythm of steamy pressure while twisted steel drums flutter. Paul C & Paolo Martini & Anek continue in a similar vibe, albeit deeper, before Penwood changes it up a bit with a taste of dub-infused afterhour bliss. Next is the chart-topping Emanuel Satie edit of ‘I Get Deep feat. Roland Clark (Late Nite Tuff Guy Remix)’, this one speaks for itself, if you haven’t heard it yet – get ready. Next, Smash TV make a welcome appearance with a tight house number, ‘Daddy’, and carry the torch further to Ali O'sullivan - At Right. This one is another big blend of techno and house that is almost more tech than house with its massive kick and wonderfully aggressive percussion. Finley calms the scene right about now with a chilly Experimental-esque track that finds its roots in a smooth, jazzy chord construct. ZOHKI feat. DE VANNA present a bubbly house track that plays in a similar space as the one before, with ZOO BRAZIL changing the mood up in ‘Trum’. ‘Flashback’ takes us on another unexpected ride with some very particular and engaging atmosphere and organic feel. Lastly, You Shtak give us one last shot of bass and adrenaline before the lights come up. A gritty, heavy track that turns and rolls on the floor, taking everything along with it as it slowly blooms to reveal stirring strings and a heightened atmosphere.

As Warriors celebrates its fifth season at Sankeys Ibiza, residents Mark Jenkyns and Leftwing & Kody mix a double album composed of entirely exclusive tracks.

Returning to Sundays at the Playa D’en Bossa club, the party series recently announced their summer lineups spanning the likes of Groove Armada, Hot Since 82, Eats Everything, Skream, Huxley and VIVa founder Steve Lawler. Throughout the 2016 season residents Mark Jenkyns and Leftwing & Kody will be regular fixtures at the events, which is why VIVa have tapped them up to craft two mixes exemplary of Warriors’ distinct musical aesthetic.

Turning heads ever since his debut on Hot Creations four years ago, Mark Jenkyns has since followed up with appearances on Rinse, Dogmatik, Leftroom, Resonance and Crosstown Rebels, not to mention collaborating with Inxec as 12 Stories with a release on VIVa MUSiC last year. Meanwhile, Leftwing & Kody have been making waves since emerging in 2012, releasing on the likes of Knee Deep In Sound, Hot Creations and MadTech when not pioneering their own Lost Records imprint.

Jenkyns’ mix initiates with a percussive production from Leftroom founder Matt Tolfrey before erupting into lively material from names such as Resonance Records founder Max Chapman, Kreature and Tom Budden until a crunchy cut from Josh Butler concludes proceedings. Meanwhile, Leftwing & Kody’s tracklist sees the likes of Jey Kurmis, Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi, Hauswerks & Anek, Cera Alba and ONNO, not to mention fast-rising newcomers Solardo.

Late July will see the release of Truth Be Told’s ‘Brass Minkey’ EP on MadTech, comprising three originals and remixes from Acid Sky’s and MANT.

Liverpudlian duo Truth Be Told have been picking up support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Darius Syrossian, Josh Butler and Bontan over the past years via EP’s, singles and remixes for the likes of Hector Couto’s Roush, AVOTRE, ElRow Music and Resonance Records. Here though see the pair joining the roster of the esteemed MadTech Records imprint, a driving force in the world of contemporary house music, with a new EP.

Across the ‘Brass Minkey’ EP Truth Be Told deliver a powerful modern house style, title cut ‘Brass Minkey’ lays the foundations with a frenzied percussive rolls, stuttering vocals and a wandering sub bass hook before ‘Dib Dab’ follows with shuffling snares, bulbous bass swells and mind-bending atmospherics. Last up on the originals is ‘True Colours’, laying down a groove-led approach with crunchy percussion, processed vocal murmurs and choppy synth blips meandering throughout the
record.

Rounding out the EP are two remixes, the first of which comes from Leeds duo Acid Skys who take on ‘Brass Minkey’ to create a chugging bass-led workout before London duo MANT round things out, creating a dark and brooding interpretation of Dib Dab with expansive reverb swells, soft pad sweeps and a robust rhythmic drive.

Truth Be Told’s ‘Brass Minkey’ EP is out on MadTech Records 22nd July (Beatport) and 5th August
(General) 2016.

Darius Syrossian & Doorly - Gravity Check (Jacky Remix)

Whippin Records are on a big roll right now and that continues with their seventh release. It finds the super hot Mason Collective team up with Detroit legend Stacey Pullen for a pair of essential new tunes. 

Opener It's Time is a hard hitting track with warped synths wrapping round rubbery kick drums. Itchy hits bring tension and edginess and make this a driving, atmospheric track to lock in the floor. The Mason Collective then go solo on Technoey Tech, which is a bristling, high tempo tune with hard hitting grooves and freaky synths and vocals all making you move. 

Once again here Whippin have cooked up some real heat.

It's always encouraging to see new talent breaking through due to pure determination and talent. Merseyside-based duo Truth Be Told are more than deserved of their popularity, which stems from both crowds and fellow musicians alike.

When their debut EP received key support from Richie Hawtin back in 2012, their sound was exposed to ears around the world, and things really started to change for them from a career perspective. They kept the momentum up by releasing on Hector Couto's Roush label and from there their music secured plays from Jamie Jones and Darius Syrossian.

After a string of releases, Truth Be Told developed their reputation even further by becoming an in-demand name, playing at numerous gigs up and down the country as well as shows internationally. Now you can find the lads involved with Sante's Avotre imprint gaining #15 in the Beatport charts, featured as Friday Fire from Danny Howard, plays from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 and an official remix for Eddie Amador on his legendary track 'House Music'.
