Iron Curtis has been quietly crafting house music for many years, so it's fitting he is the first man to drop a full-length on West Yorkshire's finest label, Hudd Traxx. He shows his full range here, and while there are concessions to the full-length format, such as an immersive ambient opener steeped in cosmic radiance, there are also plenty of effective club cuts high on personality. The minimal kinetics of 'Dial Me In' is a standout, while 'Tensione' is dubby and elastic house and 'Dance Inc' slides into soft and dusty bliss for intimate backrooms.

Hudd Traxx makes label history with its first-ever full-length album, ‘Dial Me In’, from long-time affiliate Iron Curtis. Aptly, if it wasn’t going to be label boss Eddie Leader, Curtis is the natural choice — having contributed more tracks across more releases than any other artist in the label’s history.
Across ten tracks, Iron Curtis delivers a journey that moves between deep house, ambient textures, and eclectic grooves, flowing effortlessly from club-ready jams to home listening moments. The warm ‘Speak to Me Baby (Ambient Mix)’ opens proceedings before the synthy, Berlin-tinged ‘1Up’ sets an understated groove. ‘Roxy’ and the title track ‘Dial Me In’ bring rich chords and deep house warmth, while lead single ‘Troubles’ delivers a hypnotic, low-slung sway. ‘Tensione’ strips things back with bass-heavy, breakbeat energy, and ‘Bodycode’ rides a beautifully deep house pulse. The final stretch expands the palette with the floaty ‘Dance Inc.’, the rolling ‘Signal Signal’, and closing cut ‘Slipstream’, tying the journey together in style. Nagoya-based multi-instrumentalist and rising DJ Hiroyuki Kato returns to the ever-consistent Flexi Cuts with Life 今 (FLEX 031), a record that perfectly distills the artist’s layered approach to sound and the label’s instinct for unearthing voices that carry both groove and depth.
Having built a relationship with the label over the past two years—already signing an EP and a single—Kato now delivers a project that feels like a culmination of that dialogue: five tracks on wax, complemented by an additional cut exclusive to the digital edition.

True to its title, Life 今 exudes immediacy and presence. Kato draws on his background as a polyrhythmic player, folding live instrumentation into supple house frameworks, always with a subtle melodic sensibility.
The vinyl selections range from the quietly propulsive to the rhythmically expansive, each tune infused with that warm, unhurried Flexi aura. Basslines strut with understated confidence, chords shimmer with daylight energy, and the arrangements move with a natural, unforced flow.

Four producers, four shades of motion: dubby pressure, sleek trance energy, and tripped-out house psychedelia built for the floor.
Our seventh release brings together versatile club cuts sitting between house and trance. Familiar faces return — Tifra, Gearmater (fka Abdul Raeva) — and newcomers Olsvangèr and Earth Trax, each adding their own weight to the release.

“Clubfoot” on A1 — precision disguised as ease. The Estonian duo deal in pressure, not excess: a thick, rolling bassline, a bubbling acid line, and dub-warmed undertones glowing beneath the surface. Soft, delayed chords drift in and out like vapour, grounding the track in that classic dub techno haze. Reborn under a new name, they sound recalibrated and ready — gears turning, momentum building.

“The Body Radiates” is Earth Trax at his most direct. High-speed 303s coil through off-world, high-definition textures — bright yet tightly controlled. Crisp, hard percussion keeps the pressure constant, while flickering vocal chops cut through the mix with a distinctly ’90s pulse. It moves with purpose, gliding through the breaks and tunnelling toward the peak.

A Flash! — and reality folds. On B1, Olsvangèr delivers a pristine, meditative trip: razor-sharp percussion, a bassline built to unspool the mind. It’s lean, focused, and quietly hallucinatory. Proof he’s fast becoming the go-to for tripped-out house.

“Monolith” by Tifra signals a bold return - a deep, club-ready roller that hums with fizzing percussion, trippy, widescreen FX and a lead washed in echo that keeps everything in motion. It’s crisp, transportive, and unmistakably Tifra. Keep your ears open — the full EP’s on the way.

Something very special here from Miles Away Records. ‘Let Me Down Easy: Echoes From Cheri Records’ is the story of how a tiny label from New Jersey changed the course of music history not once but twice. Cheri Records was established in 1974 in New Jersey and run by Boo Frazier. Cheri’s output was limited, producing a catalogue of just eleven releases between the years 1974 and 1982. On the face of it, this appears to be insubstantial output. However, if you dig a little deeper, the quality released on Cheri Records reveals an exceptional legacy of groundbreaking music.
A dark horse in the world of record labels, a true unsung legend that would go on to alter the course of musical history and intersect with a remarkable array of talented artists, bands and DJs. From Rare Pleasure, Sandy Barber, Julius Brockington, Boo Frazier, Patrick Adams, Tom Moulton, Larry Levan and MF Doom - Cheri Records has directly impacted their artistry in significant ways. Cheri’s influence even extends into the present, with DJ icons like David Morales, Dave Lee, Danny Krivit, and Colin Curtis continuing to champion its contributions.
This compilation brings together the most compelling tracks from the Cheri catalogue, shedding light on the label’s extraordinary story and underscoring the idea that music, no matter how unassuming its origins, can transcend boundaries and reshape, influence and inform music to come for future generations. Here you'll find some of the finest soul and gospel music from artists such as Rare Pleasure, The Family Tree, Julius Brockington, Roslyn & Charles, Hyla Parker and Brooklyn People. This collection also represents the start of a new series here on Miles Away, a series that will delve into the labels and studios that were responsible for leaving a lasting imprint on the musical world. The series is called this Echoes From, and this compilation will be the first of many. System Error launches its brand-new sub-label VARIANT with a statement - not a whisper - and Koloah’s “Pacific Orbital EP” delivers exactly the kind of intent-defining sound you'd hope for on a debut catalogue number. Leading the charge is “Cosmin”, a track that instantly maps out the label’s direction: emotional futurism, razor-edged functionality, and electro charged with actual feeling rather than empty posture.

“Cosmin” opens with wide, misty pads that feel almost suspended in cold air, before subtly broken beats begin to form beneath. Then the acid arrives - not as a gimmick, but as a glowing thread that pierces the track’s melancholy, tugging it forward with a kind of soft inevitability. Everything here moves in fluid arcs: the pads sigh, the 303 flickers like underwater bioluminescence, and the groove shuffles rather than stomps. It’s melancholic, yes, but never defeated. Emotional, but never sentimental.

The magic of “Cosmin” lies in how Koloah balances scale and intimacy: it’s a track that could close your eyes or lift your head, send you floating into orbit or sinking into the Pacific’s midnight zone - both journeys feel possible, maybe even simultaneous.
