When Catz 'n Dogz established their own label in 2010 their sole mission was to ensure it never became 'just another dance label'. A decade deep, their mission has been accomplished so far. With the label's remit as broad and innovative as the duo's productions and DJ sets, the focus has always been on soul, realness and human connections. From Eats Everything's debut single 'Entrance Song' to Rachel Row and husband KiNK's first single together 'Follow The Step' to the numerous 'Friends Will Carry You Home' collections, Pets has never lost sight of its purpose or raison d'etre. Gestalt tried picking out 4-5 but to no avail, as the 10 tracks were inseperable. Anyhow they ended up taking on the whole lot on, to be released as a double album split into 2 installments.

‘Pt. I’ out 6 months ago is an effortless blend of breaks, bass and ambient, drawing heavily on artists such as Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin and Pluxus. This is (in our opinion) a pretty valiant release and a bit ‘outside the box’, but definitely something that warrants a physical manifestation. For this second part Bobo returns to Gestalt Records with a 5-track collection of surging harmonies, swirling basslines and pensive ambiance.

The EP was written throughout lockdown, with the title reflecting the strange sensations and feelings he experienced trying to make sense of the whole thing. 

Sonically, he usually tries to create a contrast between harsher more visceral drums, with warmer pads so it fluctuates between euphoria and intensity on the dance floor.
