Athens meets Paris and abstract dub meets mystical ambient for this 11th number of Tour de Trance.
Following his multiple releases, Jay Glass Dubs distills his foggy vision of dub with an experimental approach privileging the spatializing sounds. From the early techno and ambient roots to the upcoming Andy Stott, Dimitris Papadatos, from his real name, is a polymath who offers a subtle and sophisticated approach to abstract and dub among other genres that compose his very distinctive universe. He is joined by Paris-based Tryphème who shares this sentimental and sensitive approach to music with her own desire to combine industrial coldness and organic warmth. Their common curiosity for the visual and dreamy aspect of their music is characterized here by Tiphaine's own words about her set as "dreamy (but intense), slightly naïve, a little psychedelic-spiritual, and magical".
A powerful trip in which sensuality and onirism create a mesmerizing land from where it will be difficult to escape.

AM: What have ya been doing recently?

I worked on two different live shows ; an experimental quadraphonic
( I played it one week ago for the first time ), and an audio/visual with an artist using deep learning, I’m super excited about it ! 
And I continue to take time to watch my plants growing!
And to observe my thoughts.

AM: Where and how did you record the mix & was there an idea behind it? 

I recorded the mix : 60% in my bed, 20% on the deck, 20% in a fast train.
I was inspired by your name «  Accidental Meetings », it speaks to me... 


AM: What have you been listening to recently? Which artists are grabbing ya attention

AM: We’re such big fans of your releases so far :), from your incredible LP to the mixed bag of wonderful old tracks you self released last year, what’s ya studio set up & has it changed over the years? 

Oh thanks, I'm glad to hear that ! :)
For about one year my setup changed a lot ; new synths ( including the Virus B, and the GR1 ) , new pedals ( I think this is what I prefer to play with ) , a new drum machine ( the Yamaha RY30 ) .
I try to create with the same set up to give to my next music a common color ! 


AM: Whats next for ya in 2021? 

Now that the earth is spinning again, I’m going to play.

Trypheme, now based in Paris, lies in the emotional power of a hybrid music navigating between industrial coldness, electronic minutiae and synthetic sensuality.
Revealed by a first compilation album, Online Dating, released in 2017 on CPU Records and which led to a Boiler Room Sheffield headed by the Warp label, she has continued to open up new tracks ever since. Her program "Dame de Cœur" on LYL Radio is one of them, which reveals to us the always subtle results of his music-loving research.
