There is a running joke at the Delayed headquarters that our blog's name is not just a sound processing effect but a way of life for all of our teammates: we eventually arrive where we're aiming to go, but we do take our sweet time getting there.  There is "fashionably late" and then there is "delayed"!  To say that Moon Patrol has been fashionably late to release their debut track would be a huge understatement: I could most certainly create an entire mix from all ideas and sounds that ended up on the cutting room floor, as Irina and Gilles, the dynamic duo behind Moon Patrol and founders of our blog, honed in their craft and sculpted their sound.  Pretty melodies gave way to groovy house-y ditties which, in turn, receded to allow more textural experimentations and atmospheric deep dives.  Only to end up on the cutting room floor.  Not good enough? Of course they were, but "not quite there".  And now, finally, the moment has arrived where both artists have put down their Ableton controllers, listened to their creation and proclaimed "'Tis time!"..or, perhaps, "Moofter!".  
The track is a culmination of a long journey and it shows: it's balanced, mature and deftly conveys what both artists are trying to say.  It envelops without sounding grand; it's aurally complex without sounding experimental; it's engaging without resorting to a catchy melody.  It has that elusive of qualities in electronic music: it's organic and it just flows.  To say that Moon Patrol's Moofter is fashionably late would be to insult the exhaustive artistic and creative search that occurred prior to its release. Therefore, we can only say one thing about Moon Patrol: "it's delayed".

"Moofter" is part of On Board Music's "The Meaning Of Time part III" charity compilation set to be released on June 4h.

PREMIERE: Moon Patrol - Moofter [On Board Music]

Ultimae label founder Vincent Villuis aka AES Dana returns to one of his favourite emotional fields with (a) Period. and explores these times of forlornness and oblivion in a Cinematic Ambient 10 chapter story. 

As a creative observer, the French artist instantiates our endeavour to establish stillness, he steers the tale with a wide palette of sensitive chords, melting distant rumbles into bittersweet melodies and diaphanous pads thus leading the listener to a state of introspection and intimate isolationism. 

AES Dana's 9th album "(a) period. " stands as an elegy for unimaginable loss, and, as the composer says, "any resemblance with your personal experience is no coincidence".

We are always looking forward to the next release from one of our favorite labels, Oslated. No surprise, the upcoming Various Artists compilation - Chimhyangmoo 침향무 is another fantastic addition to their already impressive catalog. “Chimhyangmoo” means dancing in the smoke that rises while burning the noble incense of ‘Agarwood.’ Sixteen tracks in this collection cover a broad spectrum of the ultimate dancing experience - from a profoundly hypnotic inner state to an intrinsic energetic boost.  

In“Pattern Of Wounds,” a fellow South Korean producer and member of the ASANA Industry collective, Pseudobaul, creates a tangible, dimly glowing cinematographic narrative.

Like a chronicle of an even-paced drifting through the thickness of an immense matter that follows a fascinating pattern of an underground vein. Soft clatter fluctuates in the background tension relics; rhythmic echo-humming interferes with alternating droplets, blobs, and subtle rumbling. Meditating towards deeper stratum, at some point, it takes respite in a beautifully still lacuna till continuing along with a mother lode.

Learning is omnipresent. Nature stores wisdom in DNA, we humans store knowledge in books, art and other media. By constantly reapproaching a task at hand and using the knowledge earned from past mistakes, we can push through and achieve things thought impossible before.

This mix is a manifestation of how one of my previous tasks presented and unfolded: 
Uncertainty and chaos blocking the mind, making it impossible to act. Followed by a glimpse of how to proceed, now able to calmly and contently move forward to a trial and rising above former limits.

@ Hai In Den Mai 2019 - #1

Closing set on the Chillout Floor of "Alice im Wummerland XII" in Mannheim. Very grateful to get a chance to play at the very birthplace of this project. The first event I visited I stumbled on this floor and was immediately intrigued by what turned out to be a "Legasthenics" performance. From that point there was no going back and my musical journey started.

This journey is dedicated to mental health awareness, manifested in track and label choice. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, lend an ear and a shoulder to those in need <3
