„Punchline“ starts with enormous 808 kick-drum, grooved by pumped up 909 toms and surrounded by a mechanical atmosphere. In the first break the piece explains how it got it's name. The old school 90’s hip hop punchline by the legendary Big Daddy Kane prepares the listener for the first drop in the coolest way possible. After the drop the first musical theme is filtered in. The classic 90’s house stabs immediately and fits perfectly into the groove pattern. The whole thing is dramatically supported by different drum elements until surprisingly all elements are replaced by a siren that takes no prisoners on the dance-floor. The punchline supports all the elements throughout the track and leads the listener into the final breakdown, which starts a bit more silent and elevates into an explosive drop where the stabs shows the tracks full potential.
