Meet @dydrm.fm an exquisite music curator, enthusiast, connoisseur and DJ growing up between Meru and Nairobi, Kenya. Born Collins Mwenda Muthuri (@tumacollo ) has evolved through different monikers (Saint Falafel, Ziggy Dmt, Colin Cook)  over the years as a representation of his journey and exploration of music. 

He currently presents himself as Dydrm FM (daydream), a moniker which has seen him express his love for alternative music by creating a mix series on Mixcloud also dubbed ‘Dydrm FM’ with an approach that highlights his musical affinity with themed Volumes such as Beat Tape Editions , 254 on the low and more. In the mix series, he explores his mellow musical taste  in genres including nu-jazz, trip-hop, indie, soul, lo-fi, r’n’b, avant-garde, left-field pop, psychedelia , afro-soul, rap & the list goes on! In turn, the mixes evoke vividly laid-back, meditative and healing, sometimes borderline melancholic and nostalgic sonic experiences, which are great to jam to while engrossed in your work/activity.  Having garnered the attention of a few, including a key culture player, NTS radio show host and London-based record label ‘Touching Bass’ co-founder Errol, this mix series has served as a blueprint of the greatness Dydrm FM is yet to offer.

This is my tribute to one of my idols – Hugh Masekela. His song with Black Coffee, 'We Are One', was one of the songs that started it all for me, one of the songs that made me feel one with everyone else in this world. Love Hugh and may his music live on.
