Established in East France in 2010, Hands In The Dark is an independent record label driven by passion and dedication. Their main focus is to promote avant-garde/experimental/unconventional artists from all corners of the globe, showcasing a diverse range of musical expressions such as electronic music, art-folk, krautrock, modern ambient, jazz and minimalist music. The label’s approach is characterized by a constant desire to explore new territories, not only in terms of sound but also visually, placing great emphasis on album artwork and cohesion. Hands In The Dark has built a reputation as a prominent advocate for non-mainstream DIY music in Europe. They have released approximately 70 physical records worldwide and have curated and organized shows, festivals, as well as tours across Europe.
