Beautiful tone poem. The orchestration and recording fairly shimmers.  This is top-notch work.

Such an awesome soundtrack, really enjoyed its captivating and mysterious atmosphere!

A continuation of spooky stories from the woods, and this I believe, originated in England, but the one I remember as a child, took place in upstate New York.
The ending still gives me the creeps. Worth looking up! 

The cats, slowed down by their burden, could not match his speed, but just as he was leaving the thick woods for the open country beyond, one of them screeched in a loud, clear and almost human voice, " Mr. Williams, oh Mr. Williams, when you get home, tell Molly Myers that she can come home now. Old Man Hawkins is dead."
