Andrea's Intro

Greetings friends and welcome back to an all new episode of Mercury Landing.

On this episode, we introduce a Multi-Talented Superstar by the name of Lunchboxx (@lunchboxx415). Lunchboxx is an New York native who is now based out of the Bay Area, CA. He is the co-founder of a collective called Makeroom (@makeroomllc) he is also a Rapper and very talented Selector.

At around the 20 minute mark, he hits us with a fire high energy mix full of some of our house favorites.

Mercury Landing Episode #032 Feat. LBXX

I came across Softer for the first time when I was back home in the Philippines, and then got to meet people from the community when I was still navigating a sense of home in London. I got to attend my first 𝓢𝓸𝓯𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓓𝓲𝓰𝓲𝓽𝓪𝓵 𝓕𝓾𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮𝓼 event last year in Copenhagen, and remember having the thought of wanting to DJ for one of their future events. So it's such an honor and full-circle moment to curate this mix for their first London event 🥹

Had a lot of fun recording this one that it's probably my favourite mix so far. It also made me realise how much London has really shaped me this past year — not just through new sounds, but all the new people I've gotten to meet since moving to this city 🩶

Played with blends of jungle, future beat, afro-latin riddims, gqom, amapiano, grime, baile funk, a sprinkle of rnb, and many more sounds of future <> nostalgia in between.
